We need a "Second Front"
I received the e-mail from Moveon.org this morning and I am very tempted to join in.

Why?

The months leading up to the Democratic Convention are going to be critical. Kerry will not be getting the free publicity that the primaries offered him (and the rest of the Party as well)and Bush will be spending money hand-over-fist to "define" Kerry and put him on the defensive for the balance of the campaign.

Moveover, Kerry doesn't have anywhere near the amount of money that Dubya has at this point and probably will eventually be outspent by the GOP and Bush/Cheney.

The moveon strategy is excellent in that it will keep the grievances with dubya in front of the public without forcing Kerry to expend finacial resources. Even better, moveon is an organization, not a person. It will be much harder for bush/cheney to attack an organization than a person, and, even if they do choose to fight back, it will make THEM expend some of their financial resources.

Actually, it would be even better if another organization similar to the one undergoing construction by moveon were formed to accomplish the same mission. Maybe an off-shoot of this board... (just thinking out loud here....)

but all in all, what Moveon is doing is a good thing.
