They like the flavor of the month.

They get bored and disillusioned so they are notoriously unreliable. Obama is a lousy debater and except for speeches more unlikable than likable as a personality. They will discover this after 9 months of coverage and they won't show up. The over 60's always show up.

1. "Obama is a lousy debater"
Then I guess Clinton must really suck, because he totally kicked her ass.

I guess so.
But watching Clinton squirm and sputter was icing on the cake.

8. Usually comes in at between 3 and 4 an hour
Edited on Mon Jan-28-08 02:01 PM by alcibiades_mystery
On especially manic days, even 5-6. All day long.

Think on that before you're too hard on Proud2B. Making up 3-6 negative attack OP's an hour for sometimes 12-16 hours at a stretch. He has to spin a 30% loss as better than a 15% loss; he has to spin a Kennedy endorsement as the downfall of the campaign; he has to spin Rezco as Obama's criminal partner; he has to spin spin spin spin spin. All day long. Consider the life that must accompany that before you're too mean on these boards.

3. Lousy debater and unlikable? Man, since he's kicking Clinton's ass in both those fields,
she must be atrocious.

4. Nonsense. He is the Messiah and they will come to Him.
And all those who oppose him will burn in Hell.

Or die because they are old, useless, and unwanted in the "transformational change."

5. Why don't you give it a break for once
While others are excited that young people are getting involved with a candidate they believe in you have to throw water over it. Yeah all those young people that got excited about JFK, RFK, Martin Luther King and got involved in the Peace Corp and civil rights and fighting a bad war were just an illusion.

15. Adrian Kuzminski has a different view regarding the 3rd Party Candidacy of Ross Perot.
http://www.counterpunch.org/kuzminski08182004.html

The last meaningful opposition to the duopoly was perhaps Ross Perot's presidential candidacy in 1992. His presence in the presidential debates and his subsequent garnering of almost twenty percent of the vote -- in spite of dropping out of the race and then reentering it -- may be the most under-appreciated event in recent American political history. Perot was no social activist liberal, but he showed what an open political process might achieve. Afterward, the duopoly regrouped and created a rigged, 'bi-partisan,' corporate-sponsored debate commission dedicated to making sure that no third party candidate would ever again enjoy such exposure to the voters.

---------

Obama is NOT a 3rd Party Candidate so the foundation of your hypothesis falls flat.
