I can't believe it but...I'm starting to have good feelings toward Kerry!
Like a lot of Dean supporters, I've felt a lot of resentment toward Kerry. I felt that he was anointed by the DNC and the media, and that he had his surrogates use a lot of dirty tricks against Dean in Iowa and NH while pretending to be above it all.

The dumbass debate on Sunday made me feel sympathetic toward Kerry and Edwards for the first time. I wasn't a big Bill Clinton fan at first, either, but during the non-stop wingnut media assault against him, I came to like him a lot. I found myself constantly defending him with my loudmouth winger co-workers. I've thought that the same thing might happen with Kerry for me--when the bush* whores in the media start going after him, that's when I'll find myself on his side.

Also, this Sunday in the NY Daily News I read that Kerry said that Libya was ready long ago to make a deal with the U.S., but bush* wanted to hold off on it for political reasons.

Kerry also suggested Bush sat on December's deal to have Khadafy renounce weapons programs to get a political boost. "Khadafy's been trying to get back into the mainstream for several years now," Kerry said. "There's evidence that we could have had that deal some time ago."

As proof, he said he'd heard "from friends in the British government that the deal was in a slow lock," although he declined to give specifics to back it up.

Bush campaign spokesman Kevin Madden called Kerry's comments "reckless and irresponsible" and accused him of "taking a step deeper into conspiracy politics." He said Kerry's remarks "are not befitting a serious candidate for President."

----------

This statement by Kerry is downright Dean-like! I can't remember Kerry being the first person in this campaign to throw out a "reckless" accusation against bush*. He usually lays back and let others, like Dean or Clark, make an accusation and take the media beating. Why would he say something like this now with the nomination wrapped up? Could it possibly be that Kerry will not be a cautious centrist during the campaign?

It's apparent that Kerry has been changed as a candidate during this campaign by Dean, and then again by Edwards. Here's hoping those changes are heartfelt and permanent.

6. Nader will make the Democrats stronger....

After seeing the impact of a near Green Party win in San Francisco (gay marriages).

I'm also for single-payer healthcare. Dennis noted that the Democrats refused to put it in their platform because it might offend donors.

3. Wonderful Concession Speech
John Kerry will set a new standard in high minded concession speeches in November. He'll wish George Bush well and pledge to work with him and leave all the animosity behind. And we'll all be behind him, won't we? Yeah, John!

5. why?

Kerry could have added environmental and labor conditions onto trade way back when too, but chose not to for political reasons....

We could have ended the sanctions way back when too, as well. However, Kerry apparently quit Vietnam Vets for Peace because it advocated that presidents and soldiers could be charged as war criminals.

I'd love to hear Kerry tell us why 5,000 children had to die each month in the name of regime change. IMO, the US government didn't want Saddamm to bring criminal charges against US leaders.

7. I have made my transition to Kerry with ease.
He is a fighter and I have every reason to believe he will use all of the ammo the bu$h administration has given him.

He will do a great job this year and I have confidence in him.

8. it's nice to hear a Dean-like statement from Kerry but I wonder how
long he can hold that right up to Nov 2004.....right now, I don't think that will happen.
