Poll question: Should Future Edwards or Obama Endorsers Skip the Courtesy Call to the Clintons?
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 11:09 PM by CorpGovActivist
In light of the emerging reports that http://news.google.com/news?svnum=10&as_scoring=d&tab=vn&hl=en&ned=us&q=clinton+heated+telephone+exchange+kennedy+source%3Anew_york_times">Senator Kennedy placed a courtesy call to the Clintons to give them fair warning of his decision, and the ensuing leak, should future endorsers who side with Edwards or Obama forego the drama of calling the Clintons, and just do it?

10. Given that Edwards had shut off comunication from Kerry, that kind of absolves Kerry of any
responsibility to call him. Not to mention that both Kerrys showed incredible character and disapline not to respond to all the Edwards attacks on them. Those petty attacks, that don't bother people who are upset about this, show that Edwards thought he owed Kerry nothing.

Why would Kerry owe Edwards something and Edwards owe Kerry nothing? (Even in the general election, Edwards apparently didn't think he owed it to Kerry to use the campaign slogan chosen by Kerry.) Kerry gave Edwards the platform to get additional visibility and the stature of being on a national ticket. What did Edwards give Kerry? Tsouris?

12. Karynnj, Is There a Link You Wouldn't Mind Sharing?
I'm curious about the post-mortem on this. When the news broke, I focused more on the graciousness of the two men toward one another on camera, but usually once the dust settles, the truth comes out in good post-mortem write-ups.

Thank you.

: )
