A message to Kerry supporters

Congratulations on your victories tonight. There is no way to deny that Kerry is the eventual nominee at this point. I will support and vote for him in the general election.

However, up until the convention, I will still support Dr. Dean's attempt to bring more delegates to the convention. Dean's campaign has always been about more than getting Dr. Dean the presidency. Dr. Dean has an ongoing mission to ensure that the Democratic Party will continue to fight for it's ideals and to support Democrats in the house and the senate that will help to reform this country and our party.

Please understand that my support for his efforts in no way indicates a support for Bush, Nader or any other non-Democrat candidate. I will 100% support John Kerry and try to get others to support him as well against Bush in 2004. It is too dangerous to allow him any more time in an office he never won any way. Our fight for change in the party is not a fight against the party or it's nominee. Please don't make it to be such.

It's going to take me a while to mourn before I get on board.

I have incredible admiration for Howard Dean. His win today shows how strong his supports remains. It also shows how great of a Govenor he was for Vermont. I hope he continues receiving votes and I look forward to supporting Dean in the future.

Edwards brought me to the party and Dean just my get me to stay.
