Seriously, except for LaRouche - who was on the Cal democratic ballot for some inexplicable reason - any of the candidates would be acceptable to me. Come to think of it, LaRouche would at least be entertaining

my DH to cast his Kerry vote for Dean after all. (Kerry wasn't his first choice but he thought he should.) No sheep allowed in this family. :toast:

It was my quadrennial Attaboy Award. Since I vote in California in March and the issue of who is going to be the nominee is decided or close to decided by this time, I often cast my vote to the candidate who most raised issues I felt needed to be raised. Past recipients include Jesse Jackson and Jerry Brown.

I considered giving it to Kucinich. I will admit Kucinich most represents my views, but I always knew he was not going to win. Kucinich also said what needed to be said about the war and many other things. I could have easily given it to him for telling the mainstream media (personified by Ted Koppel) where to get off.

In the end, I gave the Jack Rabbit Attaboy Award to Dean because he made opposition to that loony invasion mainstream. That was something Kucinich could never have done.

Howard Dean was the Gene McCarthy of 2004. Attaboy, Howard.
