3. Rudy...I just gotta think that, as a NYC-based show
They'd love to finish him off.

(Then again, their corporate masters might not let them.)

15. It means the poster has that problem I heard Bill Maher note in his show
that aired the other week--people who hate Hillary Clinton have a PROBLEM, is what he said. It's about THEM, not about Clinton.

9. If Edwards were actually going anywhere, they'd rip him to shreds -

Season 33, Episode One - last year, September -- Amy Poelher played Hillary. In one opening sketch, she's speaking to the camera, and SNL makes fun of her presumed inevitability. At the same time, they take a shot at one point at everyone else. Which one of these shots is harshest? Which is most serious? Which one shows that SNL, along with your average sane high-information voter, knows a fake and a fraud when they see him?

"You, Barack Obama, with your almost childlike faith in people's basic decency, and your near total lack of experience in government.

"And you, Chris Dodd, whose campaign fundraising efforts I have worked so hard to sabotage, often with violence or threats of violence.

"And you, Joe Biden, with those obvious plugs you seem to think no one notices. They are so very enormous, and so very endearing.

"And you, Bill Richardson, whom I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, but understand are part Colombian, or Mexican, or something.

"And you, Mike Gravel, you dear, dear crazy old man.

"And you, John Edwards, you phony, two-faced, ambulance-chasing little rat bastard.

"And finally -- my sweet, teeny-tiny, itsy-bitsy miniature friend, Dennis Kucinich. Somehow, I think I'll miss you most of all."
http://snltranscripts.jt.org/07/07aclinton.phtml

(So I italicized; so sue me. I think you get my point.) If the two-faced ambulance chasing little rat bastard had actually, you know, WON his birth state (as opposed to losing it to a Hawaiian from Chicago, and losing second place to a lady from Chicago by way of New York who essentially gave up on the state and just left her hubby around to campaign for her) or otherwise showed evidence of getting somewhere -- John Edwards would be comedy ground zero. Because it would be so easy.

11. You really have to ask? They've hated the Clintons for YEARS
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 09:13 PM by TankLV
that's one of the main reasons I've stopped watching...

During the Clinton years, I thought, "suck it up" because it will change when the repukes are in power and they train their sights on them - but it never happened at all...

it is SICKENING...

and - SNL is now OFF THE AIR?!?! GOOD RIDDANCE!!!

12. All of them, I suspect. The leaders would be spoofed in starring roles and the
middle level putzes would get feature roles, and the one percenters would probably get the best lines in cameo snarks.

14. (Opening Theme to The Simpsons)...
... "The Clin-tons!"

Have him writing on the blackboard at the opening of each segment, and do a recurring bit for as long as they keep providing material.
