Ted Kennedy is the Worst Senator Ever in the History of the United States!
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 06:18 PM by Armstead
Awful. Just awful. Imagine endorsing Obama. I always knew there was something I hated about him beneath all those years of fighting for the poor and middle class, standing up against the War In Iraq and generally keeping the flame of liberalism alive during dark days.

Horrible, horrible man.

----

In case you missed it, this is sarcasm. And, I should add that I'm an Edwards supporter, and would have much rather see him endorse JE. But whatever Ted does is fine by me. He's the best, and I'm proud he's my Senator....The inevitable flaying of him for one endorsement is flat-out wrong.

1. How dare he endorse a candidate.
The nerve of him especially if it was not going to be Hillary.

I've calmed down. But I think being wealthy, Kennedy didn't feel the
effects of the Clinton era the way us working people did.

I was started making 6 figures after Clinton came in, and stopped when
Bush came in.

Kennedy drives 6 figure cars, and he'll have them whether or not Obama
is an effective president. He is in an insulated and recession proof world

So to Kennedy, with his great idealism, it is wonderful to have the first
black president. And I agree, it would be wonderful.

But I watched the NV and NH debates, and Clinton was by far the sharpest.
She outwitted those 2 suckers. She does her homework.

And I KNOW she's going to work her ass off.

I became bothered by Obama because of what seemed like sneaky
smear tactics - his people were all over the web trashing Clinton.
This bugged me. I doubt if Kennedy had time to scrutinize the
sordid goings on.

So Kennedy and I are looking at Obama from 2 different perspectives
and two different classes.

28. Actually, I think many working people see the Kennedys as supporters.
I think that the influence that Kennedy and Kerry share in Mass. will shift a lot of voters in that state to the Obama column.

Both Senators will be out in force in the state campaigning for him. Obama will not have a lot of time to spend in any individual state.
When you have two heavyweights pulling for you, you do not have to spend a lot of time there.

McCarthy?

10. I'm with you...
IMO, the Clintons are trying for a power grab in the party right now. All they care about is winning at any cost. They hurting the Dem party's chances in the general election (both for President and down-ballot) with their personal attacks. They're thumbing their nose at the DNC with the Florida delegate issue.

As much as I like to think that Kennedy really likes Obama, I believe that this endorsement is just as much about squashing this power grab.
