The arricle makes it clear - running the ad violated the pledge

"The Democratic National Committee stripped the state of its delegates. Then Democrats in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina followed by pushing the pledge that bans the candidates from campaigning in the state, including running television commercials or hosting rallies."

4. Dudette, thank you.
She can run a National Ad, too. Then we can all hear her message - even here in IL, where she doesn't have a chance in hell of winning. And therefore doesn't bother campaigning here.

I prefer a 50 state approach, unlike HRC who only cares about doing whatever she can to win.

6. From your own link:

Burton said Obama's campaign consulted with Carol Fowler, chairwoman of the South Carolina Democratic Party, before the ad ran, and she "told us unequivocally she did not consider this to be in violation of pledge made to the early states," Burton said.

Just because Clinton's campaign says he's violating the pledge does not make it true.

13. But it also says she was a self appointed gate keeper - 4 state parties agreed
to it - only one was asked. Shouldn't all parties have been consulted?

9. BUT HE CAN CONTROL WHERE IT IS RUN.
And dang de dang can you imagine the spew the hate the vile the burning of the boards if Hillary Clinton had done that. Just think conyers and his wife ran non-stop ads in Michigan and nothing was said about it...but that was for the other candidate and he can do no wrong...

10. Wrong a NATIONAL AD BUY runs Nationally
That is how advertising works.

maybe this will help
Imagine an advertiser in your local paper wants to reach people living on the east side of town. They run an ad in the paper but it goes to everyone in that town not just the papers delivered to the east side.
