Poll question: How Would You Describe your Opinion of John Edwards
I want to see the opinions of DU of each candidate and their spouses. I was going to just do BC, but gotta be fair.

2. Why do you say he has no chance?

4. I Voted
He's very positive but I still gotta vote for Hillary even though it wont count. Also, he's very cute. :)

9. You're right, it's a multivariate issue
My opinion of him is very positive but I don't think he has a chance in this campaign. My decision will be based on three variables:

A. Opinion of candidate
B. Chance of winning nomination
C. Chance of winning Presidency

For Clinton, A is moderate to low, B is very high, C is moderate to low. For Obama, A is high, B is moderate to low, and C is extremely high. For Edwards, A is extremely high, B is low to nonexistent, and C is high. I will probably vote for Obama.

Of course there aren't enough option lines to work three variables into a DU poll.

8. somewhat negative- here's why. I WANT a populist message but Edwards' packaging sucks
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 03:50 PM by cryingshame
He is putting the stink of death on Populism by framing it in negative and out-of-date way.

Then, there's the fact that his actual record as Senator and POTUS candidate last time around is very much at odds with his current populist message. In the GE he'd get slammed repeatedly on that. We're talking mulitiple substantial issues he's done 180's on.

Additionally, there's his performance as VP candidate last time around.

All that said, I hope his supporters hang in there and fuck the people suggesting he drop out.
