Enough Already !!! - I'm Throwing My Support To Obama !!!
And you can thank a certain number of HillBots here for that. I won't mention any names, because you already know who they are.

If on Feb. 5th, polling has Obama\Clinton over 15 points apart, I may still cast my vote for Edwards. But ANYTHING closer that that, I will vote for Barack Obama.

I'm 52, male, and white, and I'M tired of this fucking divide and conquer, old guard, levers of power, BULLSHIT!

I DO NOT want 4 or 8 more years of this crap. Bush OR Clinton crap!

I want to vote for somebody like JFK too (Thank You Caroline), and Billary...

I remember JFK, he was a hero of mine, and you ain't no JFK!

Gobama!!!

:patriot:

God I feel better now.

66. I'm in CA and on Feb 5 I'm voting for Edwards.
If Obama can show me he's the anti-corporate candidate, rather than meeting with Bloomberg awhile back (Nov 29, 30) for strategy sessions and consultations with a BILLIONAIRE who's a GOP shill should he enter the race, then I'll vote for him. Too bad right now both he and HRC can't make that claim.

6. HillBots? Clinton is as bad as Bush?
How's name calling going to get us out of the mess this country is in? Is that what the Repubs want us to do? I thought the Obama camp was about unity? Not to mention Clinton and Obama are far more closer than Clinton and Bush. Democrats calling other democrats "Bush" is a wound that's hard to heal. Let's keep it together here and remember what's most important. Having a Democrat in the Oval Office.

Giving Obama the nomination is the most certain way in the world to insure a GOP victory.
I know a lot of pie-in-the-sky DUers don't want to hear that and it will give me no pleasure to say "I told you so" if what I'm afraid of happening does.

Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 11:01 PM by niceypoo
There is nothing the GOP can do to win. I do believe that Obama would win, but, he would get eaten alive by the GOP in the process given that he cant handle even slight criticism without playing victim.

19. That's what so many Hillary supporters and surrogates seem to underestimate
how THEY have turned so many of us away from a president we absolutely idolized and the candidate so many of us were proud of and defended for so many years AGAINST the RWers. Now they act and sound just like the people they said were conspiring against them. Bill Clinton actually congratulated Karl Rove and told him what a great job he did against John Kerry in 2004. For me the turning point was John Kerry messing up a joke and HRC coming out an hour later with fellow republican John McCain to stick the knife in his back-she lost this democrat at exactly that moment

I am saddened by the tactics used by "the Black President no more" Clinton.

I have always supported them but they have gone under the radar on so many things that I can't find it in my heart to trust either one of them.

Thank you Toni Morrison for taking away his title!

I think this point is debatable and needs to be put out there. I think all these newspaper endorsements should cause a double take. Is the Chicago Tribune really interested in change? Cali mentioned a liberal establishment. The Las Vegas Sun and Tribune are hardly part of it!

25. Hi WillyT
:hi:

Biden was my first choice but I sort of knew he wouldn't get anywhere. I liked Richardson and Dodd, too. I liked all of our candidates but the past couple of weeks reminded me of all the things about the Clinton administration that I didn't like much and had sort of forgotten about.

It's true we (Mr Pip & I) were very successful during the Clinton years, but we were also very successful during the Reagan years an I sure don't want to go back to Reagan. It's not just about me and how I personally may have benefitted from a particular administration, it's about the toxicity that seem to follow the Clintons. Makes me tired and it's demoralizing.

I watched the dabate last week before making a final decision and I saw something in Hillary I did not like - and arrogant snarkiness. If she's our nominee, I'll vote for her but for the primaries I filled out my absentee ballot the day after the debate and marked Obama. It's done. He may not line up with all my views and opinions but I doubt anyone would.

In the words of my 30 year old NYC son who orginally supported Clinton, "I'm sick of Clinton."

It's time to turn the page.

Mz Pip

You vote for a candidate because they most closely represent your values, ideas, hopes, and aspirations.

However, I'm glad if you have found a candidate you can work for and be proud of :)

Are you in CA? if so what part? I am an OC Obama supporter. Have a few repub friends and neighbors switched. Have some other hard core righties saying he is a Muslim regardless of the facts presented. One said she will sit out the primary. I will take the 5th off and make sure she stays home! Not that I am for suppression, but if someone still thinks GW is doing a great job and Obama is a Muslim then she should consider sitting this round out.

43. Please vote for Edwards.Obama doesn't need your vote.
The Kennedy's are always doing this. They "interfere" in backing a winner.Ted's record is identical to Johns, and Obama is no more like JFK than soap dish.Sorry but it is true.Obama hasn't accomplished much.JFK had done a lot more in his life than Obama who has coasted to a one term in the Senate and never fought a competitive campaign. JFK was a war hero, Pulitzer prize winner and congressman as well as a Senator. Obama is a state Senator, community field organizer in a GOTV effort and hasn't completed a single term as Senator. And he only ran against Alan Keyes in a blue state. We are being set up.Why, I don't know but the answer won't be pretty.

That hurts me because I am truly an Edwards fan. I would vote for him in a heartbeat if Obama doesn't make it.

I believe that Edwards is not a divider he is passionate about uniting this country. That is one of his greatest strengths.

Please follow your leader and be kind to Obama.

PS/ I have noticed the positive messages on DU from Edwards supporters. That is a winning strategy that you should keep up.
