Poll question: Should Hillary Clinton Be Doing Any Campaigning In Florida?
Or any Democratic Candidate for that matter?

1. Obama has run commercials so I don't see the harm in anyone doing it now.

3. A national ad that he had approval for.
Do you suggest they not air Tyra or Letterman, either?

10. Those aren't ads. It was a good play by Obama. You don't think his campaign
didn't know what it was doing.

On that...he played it right. But he did play it.

4. well, is there a difference
between running national ads that just happen to also be part of a florida market, or setting foot in the state and campaigning there?

I mean, the delegates still don't count right? I mean, unless it's a pure fundraising trip, I don't see the point.

15. The chance that Dean will give the clintons an advantage by permitting MI and FL
is less than zero! Won't happen.

5. Obama has not run commecials in Florida
He has run national commercials that cannot be blocked in Florida. If you think that these two completely different things are even remotely related then you would qualify as a Clintonbot

18. so, how is it that others can advertise nationally without entering Florida?
He is getting away with more stuff, while his supporters attack Clinton who only wants a level playing field.

2. All Of Them
Should be campaigning in florida. It's not my fault florida changed it's primary. That said, being left out, and my vote not counting is enough to make a person reconsider there party. The Republicans are letting delegates count but NOOOOOO not the democrats. :(

16. I think it's half, like Michigan
But then again, these were the rules from the very beginning. The rethugs knew that only half of Florida's delegates would count. The DNC decided that none of our delegates would.

If anyone has a problem with that, take it up with Howard Dean and the DNC.

13. What are the details on her visit?
There have been so many BS stories in this election that it is hard to tell -- like the concession speech or lack thereof.

I don't really trust partisans these days -- passion is swamping deliberation. Does anyone have a source that is fact-oriented instead of opinionated?

20. She has said that she will keep her pledge not to campaign in Florida.
So has Edwards. I admire both candidates' decisions.

Obama, on the other hand, has broken the agreement. That means that Edwards and Clinton both would be justified in campaigning there. That they choose not to says volumes about who is and who is not playing dirty in this race.

21. DNC rules don't mean much to Clinton...
Hillary: On To Florida
by Aaron Bruns
Hillary Cinton isn’t dwelling on the drubbing she took in South Carolina; after a stop at a black church in Memphis this morning, she’ll get a much needed cash-infusion in Florida — where she’s holding three fundraisers, one large low-dollar youth event and two big donor affairs, to stock up for the expensive February 5th campaign.

She also announced this morning that as soon as the polls close in Florida on Tuesday, she’ll hold a rally for supporters in the Sunshine State — where Democrats have been forbidden from campaigning out of respect for the DNC-designated early states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada.

Asked why she’d go to a state where the DNC has stripped the delegates as punishment for moving its primary into January, Clinton said “I’m going to try to seat the Florida delegates. I have said the people of Florida deserve to be represented in the process of picking a president for the Democratic party.”

“Florida will once again be a battleground state, and I want the voters in Florida to know that I hear them,” she said. “Hundreds of thousands of Floridians have already voted… they’re taking this seriously. They believe their voices are going to be heard, and should be counted, and I agree with that.”

Clinton has been mentioning the importance of Florida, where she holds a solid lead over Barack Obama, every chance she gets; that’s in part to ingratiate herself to Florida voters, and in part to convince the media that her likely win there on Tuesday should be counted as a victory worth covering — and one that can bring some of the momentum Obama took with his massive South Carolina win back to her going into February 5th.
