Anyone else hoping Obama has an Al Gore endorsement in his deck of cards?
And waiting to reveal it to the world at the right time.

Looks like we are getting Ted Kennedy. I guess I want to be greedy and get Gore also.

Anyone think it will happen?

1. I'd like him to weight in on the candidate's plans, health care and environmental
It strikes me that when it comes down to the details the specific plans, Hillary's healthcare and housing plans are more progressive, yet Obama presents a more overall progressive image. It's like on paper she's more progressive, but we're just not buying it. On paper Obama is more centrist but we have this faith he'll materialize into a more progressive leader.

Anybody else feel this way?

2. I would be concerned about Gore getting into politics. He said
he wanted to be out of politics and focus on the enviornment and his network. And frankly, after what he said about Gays, Obama and he are opposite, I can't imagine him wanting to support Obama.

9. I will not "get off" anything. And I don't know that DOMA means
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 12:35 PM by Evergreen Emerald
But I do know that the first thing Clinton did when in office was to allow poor women to have aboritons and to allow gays in the military.

11. DOMA = Defense of Marriage Act
Allows states not to recognize gay marriages which are legally performed in other states. For male/female marriages one state has to recognize the legal marriage performed in another state- no so for same-sex marriages.

3. An Obama/Gore ticket would not surprise me.
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 12:13 PM by roody
Oops, I meant a Gore/Obama ticket. On second thought, Gore would not want to return to no. 2 spot. I guess he will get a cabinet spot.

4. I don't think so. I think Al Gore enjoys his current position. But if anyone
has that endorsement in their hand, I'd say they better play it now to help build momentum going into super tues.

5. Gore is smarter than that
He is right where he wants to be, now. Anything he says or does could only make things worse for him, so why risk it?

6. Is it true there is no love lost between Gore and Clinton Duo?
I think I heard that someplace.

If that is true, what HC is saying is true.

SHE was anointed VP and that is why she keeps talking about all of her "experience" in the WH.

All this time I thought she was the First Lady and doing an excellent job.

Now the more I hear from PresidentS Clinton, she was the Vice President.

8. As an Obama supporter...
I'd be fine until the dust settles and he endorses the Dem candidate... this race has been ugly, and if he endorses Obama, and then HRC wins the nom, he's not going to be take as seriously if he starts stumping for her in August.

I'd love to see him endorse Obama after he wins the nom myself!

13. Gore would endorse the eventual nominee.
He wouldn't dare endorse someone now.

15. Would be very surprized if Gore...
..endorsed anyone in the primary, especially if it were Obama. John Edwards is much closer in terms of values and issues to Gore. If we end up at a brokered convention, and this divisive campaign continues - Gore would be in a position to be drafted by acclaim to be the nominee of the party. This scenario is becoming more likely as the rhetoric is ratcheted up and the Democrats as losing footing in the General Election. Hillary and Obama are damaging the party.

18. Yes, Gore is the One...
Thank you Lisa. ;-> Would be very disappointed in Gore at this point, if he endorsed Obama. Obama is not a candidate for change. He is being put forward and supported by the establishment Democrats in Washington DC. Gore is no fool. imho
