How does South Carolina change the dynamics of the race
or does it?

I think it does, but it's hard to know how and to what degree. Obama will undoubtedly get a bit of a boost from his win, but in just a couple of days FL takes center stage- delegate free as it may be.

Will there be a rush of endorsements? Probably, but it's hard to say who'll get them.

Will a substantial number of JE supporters in states like CA peel off? Who will they go with? At the moment, I see Hillary as the beneficiary of any movement away from Edwards.

I think Obama will do better in FL because of his win in SC, but Hillary will still win by double digits.

I think he can easily win 9+ states on Super Tuesday and that CA is within reach.

It'll be interesting to see what the polls do this week.

1. I'll tell you one way it's changed.....

...certain people's behavior and words before and after this primary result tipped me over into a decision I thought I'd never make and never have to make with regard to who I would and wouldn't vote for. And more than any action and words previously has caused me to lose all respect for someone I previously held in a ridiculously high regard.

I'm far from a firebrand revolutionary who demands everything he wants and demands it now. But I can't imagine there aren't thousands, if not many more like me who sit here today watching and hearing what certain people said and just sitting here with my jaws on the floor at the gall and offensiveness of it all and probably perhaps reacting accordingly. Maybe enough to impact the race, maybe not.

2. Better overall, but ...
... the press has gamed people's perceptions of the candidates' viability for months now. They have regularly been able to push poll numbers by 5-10 points. Only large Keith Numbers have kept them on their toes.

Obama now has "the Big Mo". It looked like he would get 32-38% of Super Tuesday's delegates, but that number is probably 7-10 points higher now. I think this is (currently) a bounce, though most of it could be sustainable. Hillary has some serious white-knuckle days ahead of her.

It could go either way for Edwards. I look at him as the guy that the press will use as a "modulator". They want the BHO/HRC split as close to even as they can drive it. They will do the same thing in the general election, too.

Best. Election. EVER.

3. From what I have noticed, BO is only running a few points behind HRC in national polling now. His
SC win will definitely give him a boost.

I think it all turns on whether or not voters perceive BO as the black candidate. We all know this isn't true, look at Iowa for instance, but certain folk have an interest in spinning it this way.

The fact of the matter is BO appeals to a wide range of voters. I think he needs to dispel the black mans president myth at every turn. If he is successful at this, he could very well pull this whole damn thing off.

Anyone saying that HRC has this in the bag is delusional. Not by a long shot.
