Seems to me that Barack Obama is in Bill Clinton's head, not the other way around
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 01:29 AM by hnmnf
SOme people's voting today was cleary a referendum on Bill Clinton, and that turned out to be a big Fuck you to Bill Clinton. With everything that has gone on this week, it is not Bill Clinton in Obama's head, but instead Obama in Bill's head as he watches many democrats form around somebody new, look to somebody else as the future of the party, and arrogant Bill Clinton just cant stand that.

Oh and the Reagan thing, that pissed Bill of soooo much.

:sigh: all you want.

But when Hillary's supporters gesticulate over "victories", I don't see you running into threads, whining about that.

To use Iowa as an example is laughable. For 2 years Edwards and Obama supporters had the inevitability of Hillary Clinton shoved down their throat. Of course Obama and Edwards supporters are going to feel vindicated after seeing her fall to third place.

Like I said, either show some consistency, or admit your bias like everyone else around here with a candidate avatar.

since you didn't do well with the one I presented.

I stayed out of the Obama-Clinton fighting after Iowa and New Hampshire because they're not my candidates.

Tonight I decided to speak up because this is round 2 of the Obama obnoxious fest, and I see no end to this behavior.

Do I like Obama? No.

Do his supporters make me like him less and less by the day? Yes.

And I'm not alone Wolsh. Not by a long shot.

And I'm telling you, the more arrogant and obnoxious you guys are, the more you turn people off.

And that could mean people might not vote for Obama if he's the nominee. I'm not talking primary. I'm talking nominee.

I've already said I will vote for him as it stands now. But others may not be as generous.

If you folks are willing to risk votes for your candidate, that's up to you.

37. Sadly, it's not confined to this messageboard or others.
I know Obama supporters who are mouthing off in person.

So, no, it's not just the people here at DU.

And if I know of Obama supporters in person, it's pretty obvious others do as well.

However, yea, there might be some here who are influenced enough by what they read to vote against Obama...even if he's the nominee.

Never underestimate the influence of the blogosphere Wolsh.

And if Hillary does well and moves ahead of Obama -- and her supporters behave the way what I've seen tonight -- I'm sure I'll say something.

I support neither of them. I have no horse in this race between the two.

to have created this totally obsessed mania for Bill. Its like he can't stand that his legacy would be considered smaller than Ronnie. If that is true and if Obama did it intentionally, it will go down as one of the shrewdest moves in political gamesmanship ever.

15. Agreed. The Clintonian DLC are acting like French Royalty before the Revolution.
They are arrogant and have a sense of entitlement ... in fact, they now openly claim that the race is no longer "about the people" but instead, "for the delegates."

Bill Clinton is so damn used to getting his way when he says "jump" that this pathetic ploy of playing the Southern Strategy shows how distinctly *out of touch* he is with The American People.

The comment this evening regarding Jesse Jackson was *way over the top* and distinctly RACIST.

The Big Dog, and perhaps, many members of The ROYAL DLC Clintonian Politicos may be in need of an REALITY CHECK because they are trashing our entire party, and just perhaps our nation.

16. You can chalk this victory up to the mediawhores . Yes the
mediawhores that as Bill Clitnon said to Jessica Yelin, the obama camp comes around and drops off soemthing and you all buy it and report on that but not on what is on the minds of south carolina voters. Bill was exactly right on this....

Folks that have iq's over 65 knew that obama played teh race card and the mediawhores sided with the obama camp and kept this shit stirred up and reported always positive on obama and negative on the clintons and edwards as well. The mediawhores made this state more important then it actually is. Why, because they had to insure that obama would win and by pounding and pounding both clintons day after day the mediawhores were certain this would help obama win, and it did...But what did obama really win?

Then another trick the mediawhores used. # days ago all the medawhores began running some poll that shown obama would receive only 10% of the white vote...Now folks with iq's over 65 would know this was bogus cause obama has never polled low with white voters. So why would the mediawhores do this? Well, for one knowing that obama never tracked that low with white votes and because the atomsphere had become (their making) folks would just let that 10% become accepted. Then know in teh exit polling the results would be way different. And it sure was. 24% of the white vote went to obama....WOW! big surprise....So the mediawhores ran with that story that obama had received greater support from whites.....

Now remember the medawhores putting out in the public would an obama victory with a sizable black vote hurt obama? Not taking any chances this is where the 10% white vote poll comes in handy. Soon after the polls closed all mediawhores reported obama the winner in south carolina and with a minute they showed the breakdown of obama's white vote.....now the story was changed from "obama receives a huge black vote to win south carolina" to Obama wins south carolina with a bigger white vote"....

This is how it will be reported all day sunday and sunday morning talking head programs, and be so thrilled pink that obama somehow stopped the clinton machine, but really was the medawhores own doing.....

But obama folks enjoy tonight and sunday and monday cause come tuesday and even though florida will not count as delegates hrc will win florida, Just want you to get a lil taste of what you will be tasting come 2/5 and hrc runs 17 states on ya

21. They did the exact same thing to Al Gore in 2000
The republicans went over every statement Gore had ever made, and every vote he had ever cast then, taking them completely out of context, tried to paint Gore as a serial liar. The Media, too lazy to actually do their jobs, and some minor research, repeated the republican smears ad nauseum.

This is basically what has happened the last few weeks. Obama, instead of staying above the media fueled fray, as he has always claimed he would do, has chosen instead to go along with it, playing the victim card. This is making him look like a wimp. If he is really this sensitive to minor criticism, he will get eaten alive in the general election, because in the general, the media will turn on him as the republicans begin their racist swiftboating, like they did with Al Gore.

I cannot understand why he can't take it on the chin like a man. Hillary has been doing so for the last 15 years.

43. What did Obama actually accomplish?
In Iowa he bused in tens of thousand of students from out of state for a staged vote. He attempted the same thing in NV with the Culinary Union's endorsement. We all know operatives put the muscle on casino workers, telling them they if they weren't voting for Obama, they couldn't register to vote. (and several variations on this theme)

South Carolina with an AA population in the majority came out for their AA representative. Did they vote for him because of his policy oriented issues or was it as was pounded all week, a vote based on Race? I tend to believe the later and wouldn't be a bit surprised if there isn't a back story there somewhere where AA for Clintons were pressured with some sort of threat of being ostracized from the community if they didn't vote their way...

I don't believe Obama can win a contest fair and square. From the very first time he ran for the Illinois State Legislature on his own steam, suffering a humiliating loss. There has always been a back story where Obama is concerned of coercion tilting the outcome for a win..

Obama has never earned anyone's trust.. How could he? His "Ethics Commission" has turned into a farcical lame duck and seeing that is the only legislation he's gotten passed; his only other accomplishment is running for President for more than half the time he's been a Senator. All of the above couldn't be accomplished without the full cooperation and support of Big Media.
