I'm an Edwards supporter, and very disappointed he didn't do better.

But I must say tonite Obama gave a really great speech. He set just the right tone. he was able to balance his usual hope and unity stump speech with a tougher attitude and steely determination.

He kicked ass and took names, without being nasty about it.

Very good speech.

3. I've only ever heard a Democrat give a decent speech.
Republicans are just boring even though what they say kills people. It's as if every time they open their mouths someone dies. :dem:

8. Politics is like comedy...
It's all about the delivery.

(And, for the record, I don't believe Edwards has an exclusive claim to anything Obama has said.)

5. Did you hear a lot of Edwards in there?
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 11:17 PM by Heaven and Earth
I did, and I think that's why he sounds better than in past "inspirational" speeches that did nothing for me.

6. Careful...
I have this theory that if you listen to Obama's speeches, you too will fall under his spell...that's why I won't do it. :scared:

7. I have noticed one thing about folks when they mention obama,
it is always a great speech. It was moving.....damn people it is good to hear a good speech but if you wanna be moved take yourself to your church on Sunday and be moved by the peacher.....but all that say he gave a great speech never tells us what he said about education. medical care...the economy etc etc....it is always a damn good speech......

Folks we have serious problems facing this country and we do not need another george bush in the white house jsut becasue he can give a damn good speech....We need someone that knows the problems americans face and how theyw ill be solved.....i do not need to turn on my tv and see the sunday morning hour of power being held by barack falwell obama
