Just one thing for the Clinton and Obama campaigns to remember tonight...

If John McCain wins in November, America invades Iran.

There comes a time when you've got to check your ego at the door. That time has already come and gone.

If Democrats lose the White House in November, US troops will be ordered into Iran. And this time, they'll probably carry nukes.

So get with the fucking program and stop the bleeding before it drains our party dry.

That is all.

1. Amen!
No matter who we support in the primaries, let's keep our eye on the prize. Because this particular prize means the survival of our country.

6. Thank you...!
I do not have a dog in this race. I may not know whom I'm voting for until I step in the booth. But I'm hearing a lot of pissed-off Democrats nowadays, some of them threatening to boycott the election if "their" candidate doesn't win the nomination.

If that happens, America invades Iran, and Tehran is turned into a smoking radioactive crater.

14. Wow...
...and here I thought that the other party were the ones who leverage fear to sway voters. So much for thinking we're better than that...<sigh>

15. I'm just being realistic
How many of us in 2000 seriously believed that the next occupant of the White House would lie his way into a wholesale invasion of Iraq? It happened, of course, and now Iran is on the docket, and the drumbeats have started again.

If Democrats don't want an invasion of Iran to happen, they need to keep their focus. And that means that Clinton, Obama, and Edwards need to seriously start talking about this.

2. proud to give the first of many recs for this one
We must beat the repukes. I really hate Hillary, but if it means voting for her as the nom in November in order to prevent a repuke in the WH, I sure as hell will. I wish more would take that same pledge.

8. Thanks! And I hear you...
I do not want to hear of any Democrats splitting their votes between Democrats and Republicans this election year. A few of my fellow precinct chairs split their ticket in 2006, and that is the last thing we need in November.

3. Same thing will happen w/ Clinton or Obama
I have no doubt, none whatsoever. Their campaigns are being financed by people who will hold them hostage to that agenda.

4. Great Post!!!
Thanks for focusing on the big picture.

It won't be easy to defeat McCain.

We will need every Dem vote possible. PLEASE don't alienate the supporters of any of our candidates.

...to actually find out how it does, before employing the Politics of Fear (tm) to convince people? I'm just saying...

12. Hear, hear.
We have to remember that whatever the differences and divisiveness between our candidates, the alternative is much, MUCH worse.

18. Not so sure about nukes
But you have a good point. I'll hold my nose if necessary in the voting booth, another Repub in the WH would finish the job Bush started- killing our country.
