Its not a particularly good fit, and I honestly do not think Edwards wants the VP slot anyway. Now that we pretty much know Kerry is at the top of the ticket, we have to firm up our electoral strategy. My guess is that we will make a play either just at the midwest swing states or go after the latino vote to carry some southwest states. Edwards as VP does not really put the south into play enough to justify the position, and a dual senator ticket is not a good design.

the deal was that they both would do whatever was needed to help defeat bush no matter who wins the nomination. and now that it looks like kerry will be the nominee, if it means getting edwards as vp is the best way to do it then it will be that, if it means something else then it's that.
