1. Just last night it was commented by this guy who used to be
at NPR--he may still be there. He admitted that Obama
is viewed as the weaker candidate.

It is the Brer Rabbit where HRC is concerned. They really
feel Obama is easier to beat.

2. Yeah, but
The republicans have been wrong about EVERYTHING for the last 8 years, so why should I be concerned about this?

4. Thats insane
Two very large factors in the general election will be "get out the vote" and how independants vote.

It's clear that Obama has much more appeal to independents.

It's also clear that Hillary would serve to actually bring the fracturing Republicon coalition back together just to vote against her.

The author of this thread has totally ignored these two very important factors and instead used an unprovable theory to support his contention.

Scoreboard.

5. I agree
My point is, that the Republican pundits and planners have consistently misread how the American public would respond to just about every issue, soundbite, outright lie, you name it, since 2004.

They have been polling a very small segment of the public, namely the koolaid drinkers, and ignorantly assumed the rest of the country felt the same way. That attitude was proved to be nonsensical in 2006. They still live in denial. I place no credence in the original question.
