Arguing that Obama shouldn't be the nominee because of racial exit poll statistics
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 10:04 PM by LoZoccolo
is flatly racist and a perpetuation of other peoples' racism.

Maybe we should start a thread on another board where we can include links to all the racist threads and responses on this board, so we know who's a coward wannabe liberal who capitulates to other peoples' racism.

9. They would have to explain Iowa and Nevada.
And since they wouldn't be able to, it would probably be racist.

Maybe he could have put it better, but what he is saying is extremely important.

5. MLK would roll over in his grave
apparently the black voters in SC did not vote on the content of his character but on the color of his skin.

29. I think it is tasteless and callous to call Clinton racist to win votes
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 10:17 PM by Evergreen Emerald
I think it s tasteless and callous to use race to win an election: dividing while pretending to be a uniter.

I think that MLK wanted people to be judged on their character and not their color.

I think your post is useless. And I cannot wait tell you put me on Ignore so I don't have to listen to your faux outrage.

30. Really?
Link please? Did you ask each black voter why they were voting for Obama? I mean, damn, it couldn't possibly be because they think he's the better candidate?

Are you equally upset with any white woman that votes for Hillary? Or white male for Edwards?

40. what about 2004?
How do you explain Al Sharpton coming in third behind Edwards and Kerry among African-Americans in the South Carolina primary? Have the mindsets of black voters in South Carolina changed that much in 4 years?

6. Usually I hate your posts, LoZo.
But this time, you are absolutely correct. That racists would be more likely to vote for a white person should not dissuade us from nominating the right person for the Presidency.

7. It's being going on for weeks
I get beat over the head for calling it racist, but it is. Anybody who says we can't elect either Hillary or Obama due to race or gender - is being racist. It needs to stop.

14. Actually, the exit polls bode very well for him
He got 24% of the white vote, which was more than twice what some polls predicted. Clinton and Edwards split the remainder.

28. So? I think both of them will lose. I'm an Edwards supporter.
But that doesn't change the fact that these numbers underscore why Obama, specifically, can't win in November.
