him withdrawing.

He is a classy guy with a stellar future. I look forward to his very active participation in the Democratic administration, and to his future presidency.

Cheers :toast: to a great guy and to his wonderful supporters.

I mean this with my whole heart. I contributed to his campaign a couple of weeks ago.

He's got a great future. Cheers :toast: to you all for your diligent work for him.

And on edit, let me add that I am going to have to have a drink on this one. I sincerely mean everything I said. Beer, anyone?

2. I'm a Kerry supporter, but Edwards was in a class by himself
For a junior Senator, he is as classy as they come. Completely comfortable with his audience and not above self-deprecation. Plus he announced his candidacy on the Daily Show. How cool is that?

The man's got a bright future.

3. Thanks!
He will be President one day -- it's just a question of time. I only hope he ends up on our ticket this time ...

4. Of that I have no doubt.
He is a great senator, and he has what Dan Rather termed "that elvis factor"--great popular appeal.

He WILL INDEED be president one day. :-)

7. Yes, and we weren't in it as long as they were...
They had every right to hold out hope that Edwards would emerge the nominee.

This has to kill them. I have shed a tear tonight for him.

He was the true populist voice of this campaign.

9. Ditto
Being a stodgy New Englander (not really), I have been on the Kerry bandwagon since I worked one of his early senate campaigns...

The more I heard/hear Edwards, though, the more and more I llike him. He's got, among other things, a fanstastic public persona and demeanor...really genuine. Gives me some hope for the future of the Democratic party. There WILL be a place for Edwards to show his stuff in DC...regardless of whether Kerry picks him as a running mate (which I hope he does).

At the end of the day, we're all Democrats! We must now begin the job of defeating GWB and his evil cabal, and restore the right of self-government to the sovereign people of this Republic!

ABB!

10. As an ABBer I would have been delighted to vote for Edwards
I'm grateful to him for putting dignity back into campaigning, and for focusing
on class differences here in the United States. He'd make a great Veep!

Thank you Edwards supporters :toast:

13. Definately Agree
He was my second choice the whole time I was supporting Clark..then he became my first choice and my family voted for him today in CA.

Don't be despondent Edwards supporters, I know it hurts but I'm sure he'll be back.

15. Future president
I can definitely see JE running again sometime in the future -- hopefully as VP coming out of a two year Kerry term in '12!

16. Voted Edwards in CA today, and I'm glad I did...
A guy like JE can't be allowed to slip away -- he's too damned gifted!

He has a bright future ahead of him in the Democratic Party. Who knows, he may well be Kerry's running mate.
