Injecting race only hurts Obama. There's zero benefit for him to have started this race bullshit. His candidacy was largely dependent on it NOT being used.

Hillary, on the other hand, absolutely HAD TO. She needs to try and marginalize Obama any way she can. Especially considering her heavy negatives.

The Exit Polls from SC PROVE Obama won solidly amongst various white voting subsets. Young whites, educated whites and he tied Clinton for white men.

Those DU'ers who are partisan Hillary supporters need to at least admit what she's doing or you end up looking ridiculous.

There was absolutely NO UPSIDE to Obama starting this crap. NONE. His entire career has been about not being seen as the "black candidate".

1. The Clintons are historically very strong with black vioter's support - and Obama attacked on that.
Rove Swiftboated Kerry where he was strongest - his military record and vets, and Obama Swiftboated Clinton whwre she was strong - the support of black voters.
Swiftboating works, sadly.

5. BS
Clinton had the black vote until they (Obama team) decided to play the race card and siphon off votes for himself. (Sorry that's my opinion). Why would Clinton want to alienate her base? Why would she have wanted to lose the black vote that they worked their whole lives to cultivate and help?

Clinton was ahead until the race card was played! She didn't stand to gain...Obama did...and he obviously did. Think about it!

6. that does not even make sense based on the results. Obama had EVERY
incentive to make it about race. And we only have to look at the facts to see that HE is the one who did.

"fAiry tale" was NOTHING about race, and Obama and his surrogates shouted it from the rooftops.

Clinton's MLK statement had nothing to do with race and obama and his surrogates shouted it from the rooftops.

And the media helped.

Making it about race only hurt Clinton and only helped Obama. And the results speak for themselves.

7. Come on now--let's be real honest.
For month the Cable News Channels were reporting over
and over and over. Just before Iowa they were still
going strong with refrain: Obama cannot get the
black support. The only way he can win is if he gets
black support. Obama cannot get the black support.
It was the subject of talk shows.
Now tell me who had the interest in screaming Racist
Racist Racist--Obama supporters.

No revisionist history.

12. Obama got over 80% of the African-American vote

80% of about half of the turnout

that's a huge incentive

11. BO mentions race, I've heard it. He does it to get the black
vote. I have mentioned in my posts that he is running for pres. of all the people, black, white or purple, but he does it then blames Clinton. So what's new. He's an admirer of the Repbs and 'It's Clinton's fault' has worked for them for years.

13. Injecting race?
Race would have been a big part of S.C.'s primary no matter what. It will be the same throughout the South.
