How soon people forget how much the south hated JFK.
An endorsement by Caroline will do little for Obama except delight those who already had made up their minds to vote for him and add fodder to the fuel of the Clinton haters.

4. I think it's an important endorsement,
just not to Deep South whites.

The worst insult that a deep South Repub can make about a Dem politician is to say that Ted Kennedy supports him.

5. Honestly though
who gives a shit about that South anymore? There is no way the redneck vote would go to anyone except a puke anyhow. The people in the South that say they won't vote for Obama won't do it for the simple reason that he's black. These same assholes won't vote for Clinton because she's a woman. It's time to shove these pricks aside and move forward without them.

Personally I'd like to give the South another shot at secession, I'm sick of hearing about how important they think they are.

7. JFK won more of the deep south in 1960 than Clinton did in 1992
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 10:02 PM by no name no slogan
In 1960, JFK won NC, SC, GA, TX, AR, LA and 1/2 of AL's electoral votes

For being hated in the south, he certainly did okay.

8. Caroline is about women and the northeast
Her endorsement will make a lot of people give him a second look. If he can pull a few more delegates out of the northeast, it could make all the difference.
