1. Yes. It is the same as I have heard from him before.
Soaring rhetoric and picking on Hillary... with the goons chanting "USA" "USA"
Not my cup of tea.

Man...I...crikey, your seething anger is just oozing. Obama trounced Hillary in every way tonight, no matter how much you want to deny it. From the vote count to the speeches, this was totally Obama's night.

44. We heard different speeches, apparently.
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 10:20 PM by Atman
He never mentioned the Clintons once. And those "goons" were American citizens who made a choice, just as you have. Maybe you need to listen more closely to what he was saying.

(And I guess I have to post this as a disclaimer in every response in GD:P now -- I'm an Edwards supporter. But Obama knocked it out of the park tonight.

I'm not either. I'm not an Obama supporter. But that was an incredible speech.

Uh...how come people that follow the guy YOU don't like are "sheep," but people who buy into Hillary Clinton's crapola aren't? Just curious about how that works.

25. I'm still waiting to hear how he is going to accomplish this change he talks about
I want to hear it- really I do. But just unifying the country isn't enough. We have to fight the power structure that is now in place and has a stranglehold on our government and keeps the power in the hands of a few.

I don't hear Obama talk about that. Please, someone help me- show me how he is going to fix what's broken.

Ill say it again for the hundredth time. Go look at his tech policy. If you don't walk away from it realizing what a change it would make in this country then well theres nothing that will convince you that change can be made so you better find a different issue to harp on.

I was sitting next to my Obama-supporting boyfriend, and I desperately want a reason to feel good about supporting Obama, should he win the nomination.

Don't tell me to go read something. Tell me what he will do.

35. Speech
Outstanding. What really impressed me was how many of Edward's themes he is incorporating. That tells me he is listening and learning, which will make me feel much better about voting for him in November. Anyone who thinks he isn't going to be the nominee after that speech is clueless. I love Edwards and want him to stay in the race all the way, as he is having a very positive influence. But what is happening with Obama is a historic tidal wave. I haven't been so moved by a speech since the days of Kennedy. He is a magnificent orator, and seems to be becoming the seasoned scrapper he is going to need to be to get anything done. I will be very surprised if Edwards isn't a part of his administration, if not as Vice, then as Attorney General or Secretary of Labor.
