2004 election, south Carolinians voted 937,974 Republicans and 661,699 Democrat.

Obama's win in the 2008 South Carolina Democratic primary is heavily influenced by the African-American vote.

IMO it’s highly unlikely Obama would win South Carolina’s electoral votes in the general election even though 30% of the state is African-American.

That observation puts Obama’s win in South Carolina’s primary in perspective for the general election, i.e. Obama's win in South Carolina is a meaningless victory.

6. What bigot? I'm simply putting Obama's solid victory in SC in perspective of the General Election.
Do you honestly think I'm wrong?

10. I have close SC relatives whom I've visited for many years
and I don't think there is any chance that SC will go Dem in the fall.

However, Obama gained a great deal from this victory.

First, Obama has momentum.

Second, Bill Clinton is no longer an asset for Hillary in my opinion.

I am sorry to say that the story now is about Bill Clinton's negatives, not Hillary's positives.
