Only Obama has a shot to carry southern states in the GE
SC shows that there is no fucking way Hillary can win any southern state, including Arkansas. Obama may not carry SC in the GE, but with the young and black voters coming out in droves for him, he has a better shot than carrying deep red states than Hillary. This is why Obama must be our nominee. Hillary cannot win the EC.

2. Some of the Upper South, perhaps
Virginia, NC, Tennessee, maybe Arkansas. I think Edwards could do alright as well, but not Clinton.

7. Edwards would do well in the south...very true
But Hillary is the worst candidate we could put forward to win the EC, especially losing the south and big industrial states with large urban populations. Hillary and Bill are toxic among black people right now and she would lose PA, OH, and MI.

9. You obviously don't live in the Deep South.
Obama will never carry the Deep South in the general. That's a fact.

He may have a better chance than Hillary, but he won't carry the Deep South.

10. Absolutely, we can fight in the south this time
And people will see Democrats from all over the country, up close and personal, and realize we don't have horns growing out of our heads. That's the best thing that could happen.
