7. Naw, they are worried about Muslims because all they know about Muslims...
is that "terrorists" are typically seen as Muslim. Thanks to Bush and the Republicans.

Just the idea of a Muslim being President freaks them right out.

3. Maybe call your MIL's old high school office and ask them to rescind her
diploma.

Basic information, let alone critical thinking, doesn't seem to be her long suit.

Dentists and doctors are expected to keep pace with current developments in their field.

It should be the same for citizenship.

11. Here you go. The three forwarded the email using their gov't email accounts.
"WASHINGTON - Three federal employees are being investigated for unlawful political activities after they allegedly sent an e-mail falsely accusing Barack Obama of being a "radical Muslim," the Globe has learned.

The US Office of Special Counsel - the independent federal agency responsible for enforcing a law banning civil service workers from engaging in political activism while performing their official duties - has launched investigations of two employees at one agency and one employee at another agency. All three are believed to have forwarded the erroneous chain e-mail about Obama from their government e-mail accounts.

Doing so would be a violation of the Hatch Act, a 1939 law designed to help protect career government employees and the government workforce from the influence of partisan politics. The act bans civil servants from taking "any active part" in political campaigns while on the job."

13. This is the thought process that I cannot understand in People
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 09:23 PM by TheWatcher
When confronted and put on the spot to name just one thing good Bush is done, they can't, so they refuse to discuss the subject further.

What am I supposed to take from things like this? That they are in such denial that they are too embarrassed or shamed to admit they are wrong, that they like him in spite of all he has done, or that they actually SUPPORT what he has done, and they just don't want to discuss it? Or perhaps they are so desperate to live in the fantasy world that makes them comfortable that....GAH! My head is about to explode just from thinking about this.

What is wrong with people? Why can they not think? Why can they not use even the most basic forms of logic or reason?

I am hearing similar comments about Obama. I refute them with the facts via email. I will be emailing that article out today.
