Resignation...
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 08:58 PM by Va Lefty
Is defined by Websters as "an accepting, unresisting attitude or state." I certainly don't think that I have been unresisting in my attitude, but I can read the writing on the wall. Once again as a leap year arrives, I must face the depressing truth that "my" candidate is not going to win the nomination. One might think I would become accustomed to this quixotic four year ritual, (Kennedy in '80, Hart in '84, Jackson in '88, Brown in '92, Bradley in '00) but sadly the disillusionment and chagrin return like a four/eight year locust. I supported John Edwards from the time it became apparent that President Gore would not run. I still believe that Edwards is our best chance of winning in November. The MSM have done it's best to shut out and deride his message of fairness and justice, and for the most part have succeeded in making it a 2 horse race. I have no ill will towards Clinton or Obama, or any of their supporters. Either would be a excellent replacement for the war criminal that now resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave and will get my vote in the general election. But I believe radical, not incremental change is needed in this country. Impending fatherhood (July) is starting to color my reasoning and leaves me pessimistic for the kind of country we will leave our child and the world that she/he will inherit. Thanks for letting vent

1. Love your poster
and yes, we're going to need radical change. Ice caps are melting a lot faster than predicted--no polar ice in five years. Our economy is tanking. We can't do "small steps". We've run out of time.

2. And it's all over but the shouting...
Constitution - R.I.P. The American people have to be the stupidest in history. Have to be...

3. Can't figure it out myself
I think what happened was we got soft. Fat and lazy. My great great grandfathers and their brothers weren't afraid of "terrorists" coming to overthrow the US. They donned their blue uniforms, hightailed it South with their regiments and did their duty. No jumping for fear or cowering in corners.
