Edwards won the white vote and a healthy bag of delegates
If he can do this well among whites, improve slightly among blacks, continue to run even with Obama among Latinos he will have a good Super Tuesday. This is not over by a longshot. He is in North Dakota today. Have Obama or Hillary went to that small state? Edwards has a good chance to win a state or two, perhaps even more if he catches some fire and/or Obama and Hill keep fighting, on Super Tuesday. No one can run a full campaign in all Super Tuesday states. They will all compete in the big states and then target a few small states. Places like Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, and North Dakota are good opportunities for Edwards. My point: all is not lost. Let's look at the positive tonight and continue battling Edwardians! :bounce:

3. Other exit polls have Edwards winning it
Whatever. Whether he tied or beat a celebrity candidate with $100 million by two or three points is irrelevant. The point is there is reason to hope Edwards can build on tonight on Super Tuesday.

15. Maybe he should have played the race card like Obama and gotten 81% of the white vote
:eyes:

It is better to lose with honor than to win with pathetic tactics like the race card.

8. Yikes, I hate this "race" based voting analysis.
I'm an Edwards supporter, but Obama won half of "the white vote" and most of the "human vote" in SC which is huge a credit to him. This race is not about race.

13. No. Obama came in third among whites. He won over 80% of black votes to secure him the win

16. I have heard differently on MSNBC. As I've said, what matters the "human" vote.

21. Obama inspired massive turnout. I'm sorry if that displeases you.

I, on the other hand, consider that a strength.

> Exit polls: Obama won across demographic lines

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/01/26/sc.exit.polls/

I was incorrect in saying that Obama got 50% of the total white vote, as that figure was among "younger" white voters. However, ranting about race in this "race" is counter productive.

17. There were lots of Republicans voting for Obama in Iowa (something about ethanol), and
New Hampshire is a conservative state on its way to being blue.
