NRA kills S. 1805 gun liability bill due to assault weapons ban & closing

of the gun show loophole. NRA called their GOP minions and killed the bill because it contained these amendments--making it plain for all to see that the NRA owns too many in Congress.

The vote was 8 yeas-90 nos. Sickening--that the Rethugs would vote the bill down because it included these much needed amendments!

This means the assault weapons ban will not be reinstated when it expires and the gun show loophole will remain open.

Will the Democrats be able to pass the amendments on their own? Will they even be brought up in a GOP controlled Senate?
