Poll question: Which Statement Is More Damaging To A Candidate's Chances In November
Clinton's charge that Obama is not ready to be president.

or

Obama's charge that Clinton will say anything to get elected.

Which statement is more likely to be used against the potential candidate, should they get the nomination?

Not ready to be president
the GOP is not as shy of mudslinging, and don't try to pretend they aren't. The republicans would think negative of Hilary for the say anything comment, but in the back of their head they would know she is just playing the same game as the Repubs.

I'd rank it maybe the 10th most damaging attack on Hillary, so most of the focus would be on other things.

HOWEVER, everyone always worries about someone being ready or not, and can became very paranoid over that and over blow it.

1. Take this poll and shove it.
It does both candidates a disservice, and that's not how I roll.

2. Answer: Obama already using GOP BS
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 06:12 PM by rinsd
*** Barack returns fire: After the Clinton campaign, in a South Carolina radio ad, attacked Obama over his comments on Ronald Reagan, Obama has now responded with his own radio ad -- and it uses the narrative that the GOP is gearing up to deploy in a general election if Clinton becomes the nominee. “Hillary Clinton will say anything to get elected,” the ad says. Our question: By responding - even with a counterpunch - does Obama risk being portrayed as just another politician? Then again, Obama risks a lot more by not responding. Of course, this is just a radio spat - we're still waiting for the first real meaningful TV negative ad exchange... We're guessing we won't see that until after Feb. 5... If the race gets fought in a smaller group of states, say Ohio and Texas?
