John Edwards at 27% for second place over Hillary Clinton in South Carolina after Monday's debate!
DEBATE
Candidate Tue | Wed | Thu
Obama...... 41 | 39 | 37
Clinton...... 31 | 22 | 19
Edwards.... 12 | 18 | 27

A 15% leap in only 2 days!!

Obama goes down 4%!

Hillary goes down 12%!

Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/con tent/article/2008/01/24/AR2008012400154.html

See what happens when people hear John's message!!

Second place for John puts Hillary at a 2nd total loss.

Second place for John puts him at 2 second places.

Second place for John coming from 12% to 27%(if it doesn't keep climbing until saturday) in the polls means that John is rebounding.

They can't say that he just got support from his state with numbers going up this week like that.

John is in good shape even in a close 3rd place in South Carolina this weekend.

But a second place and he'll be in great shape and in a surge which he can ride even more into Feb 5th.

Let's keep up the work spreading the message about John!!

1. I think he's going to win SC.
Which will be great--will force many in states with primaries yet to come to take another look at him.

I didn't notice Edwards campaigning very hard in Nevada. Am I mistaken and was it a huge loss? I just didn't see him spending much time or effort there.

79. "I got my butt kicked there," Edwards said afterwards -- but
he also noted they didn't place *any* TV or radio ads in Nevada. The Edwards campaign has less money by far than Clinton or Obama, so they have to be strategic and focus on states they see as key for their campaign instead of spreading their resources too thin.

They are thinking, "As nasty as these people are to each other, within the SAME party, do I really want to support that?"

they switched to Washington Journal they received a call this woman confirmed herself as Repub, she said after she heard John at a rally, she felt so inspired and will vote for John, and this is coming from a Republican. Oh,god if more people like her listen to John's message he would build momentum.

15. Here are Zogby's Comments "“...There’s something happening here.."(in S.C.) LINK
http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1433

"Pollster John Zogby: “The Democratic race in South Carolina is reminding me now of the beginning of the old Buffalo Springfield song: “There’s something happening here/What it is ain’t exactly clear.”

“Obama maintains a 15-point lead, but he has dipped under 40%, losing ground, including a few points among African Americans. And nearly one in five African Americans is now undecided with just three days to go until the election. Still, his is a commanding lead with just three days to go.

“Edwards, meanwhile, has had his second good day since the Monday night CNN debate, in which he delivered a strong performance. He hit 19% support on Tuesday alone and then 27% support on Wednesday alone. And, on Wednesday alone, he pulled ahead of Clinton overall. He has pulled ahead among whites. Could he pull ahead of Clinton and finish in second place? Even with a strong showing here, where does he go next to take advantage of the momentum?

“Clinton has slipped slightly, and is at a point where you could wonder what implications a third place showing here could have for her heading into the Super Tuesday primaries on Feb. 5. She has left the state to campaign elsewhere, leaving her husband behind to keep up appearances in South Carolina.

“Overall, Obama maintains the advantage, but change appears to be in the air here – there are a lot of undecideds for this late stage in the contest - and we are watching developments closely.”

he is the cream of the Democratic crop and unlike his rivals, he actually thrives with more media coverage. The debate forced the coverage and then his appearances on MSNBC ( thank you Keith, my man ) and Letterman, got him more exposure.

Wow, just think what this race would be like with EQUAL coverage? Imagine that!!

I am volunteering for John Edwards..

and people are speaking out about the debate as we knock on doors..it seems everyone who i have knocked on their door saw the Debate..and they were all so impressed with John..and so disgusted with "the other two"...

Tonight Ann Lewis checked into my hotel..seems they had left and are now coming back..she ate dinner next to me tonight..

People here are repeating over and over again..they are disgusted with the debate between Hillary and Obama..and people are paying attention..and one thing we have heard over and over and over again..is the disgust and anger with the media!! The people here know they are being played and they are getting angry with the treatment John Edwards is getting by the media!!

101. People don't like being manipulated
I lived in Phoenix when the the MLK holiday was bing voted on. It was going to pass by a large margin until a day or two before the vote when the NFL commissioner said they would take away the super bowl if we didn't vote it in. People were so angry they changed their votes and it got soundly defeated.

I won't pretend to know the reason numbers are changing in John's favor. I can just hope people are waking up to the fact that the MSM has been pushing the Hillary vs Barrack scenario down our throats and wake up.

P.S. I hope you vote anyway, just in case things aren't as bad as we fear.

69. I think an EDWARDS/OBAMA ticket would result in a LANDSLIDE win for us!!
Performing as Vice President would give Obama just
the right amount of honing he will need to eventually
make a fine president.

75. We need John to sit behind that desk
the repigs are already after Hillary saying she will be to weak to protect National Security, and we need someone to go against John McCain, and we know they will be throwing that mud fast and furious.

Plus John is electable I just heard someone say from John's state that John is not electable what is wrong with these people, do they really want another repig sitting in the WH? Plus the world is watching.

86. Just confirms that it is lack of media exposure that is keeping his numbers down.
Once they hear Edward's message, and watch him in action, they want him to be President.

88. Reality Check
from the Zogby website today, January 25:

More evidence that the race is tightening down the stretch: Thursday’s polling alone had Obama leading with 36%, but Clinton was just five points back at 31% (a good day for her). Edwards came in with 19% yesterday alone. The one-day sample was not enough to draw sweeping conclusions, but it is an indicator that this race continues to change.

In case you were wondering about the effectiveness of former President Clinton’s campaign work on behalf of his wife, here is an indication: South Carolina Democrats hold an overwhelmingly positive view of Bill Clinton – yesterday’s polling alone shows he has a 75% favorable rating, compared to just 20% who hold an unfavorable view of him.

If you factor in the Keith Number - Edwards is completely in the running.

Someone else

90. In absence of Kucinich, Edwards has my vote
Definitely not remotely Kucinich. But closer to it than the other remaining choices, and better than a write-in for the corpse of Thomas Jefferson

over Hillary Clinton.

Does clear channel have the inside story about some voting machines too

99. Reality Sets In
With the best possible candidate dropping out, Dennis Kucinich, despite his prior approval of Obama, most know who the only real candidate left is, who'll fight for the little guy. And most important, as always, still the only one who can beat EVERY Republican possible nominee, as he's been polling to be able to do for months (this isn't new). Reality also sets in that the last 3 democratic nominees to actually win the presidency, and we are talking over a period of 40 years, are southern white men. We want change, we would vote regardless of gender or color, but too many won't, and will simply not vote for someone based on those things. We are a lot more ready for one of them as a VP.

103. I'm an Obama supporter, but
I've always known we had 3 wonderful and capable candidates. Any of the 3, if elected, would do a good job for our country, and it was not easy for me to decide who I was most comfortable with.

In any case, I would not be unhappy if John won the whole thing in SC!!

NOBODY DESERVES IT MORE!
