David Shuster : "If Obama said that, then it's disgusting"
On morning Joe Shuster and Scarborough were discussing that

Obama admitted to pushing the wrong button when voting in the legislature

Shuster said "disgusting" and a ridiculous excuse

9. Of course they explained that the 5 times he did it out of 4,000 votes, he changed the vote back
So 5 votes where he pressed the wrong button and then had it changed out of over 4,000 votes equals:

.125%

That's a little over a tenth of one percent. Only a brainwashed Hillbot would make this an "issue".

17. Shuster apparently didn't do his homework before going on air
If he knew the button pushing was 5 votes out of about 4,000 votes with the probability of .125% and that Obama changed his vote to the correct vote, he would have told Joe that he was an ass.

But Shuster apparently didn't do his job before going on air.

30. He "corrected" his gambling vote after it was known it would pass with a vote to spare
When the outcome was in doubt Obama "mistakenly" voted with the gambling industry.

18. Only a brainwashed Obama supporter
would believe that he was able to vote correctly on 3,995 votes --but somehow got the wrong button on those 5 votes.

24. Only a brainwashed Hillary supporter
would make an issue of something that happened a fraction over one-tenth of a percent.

0.125%

That's an issue you're proud of bringing up?

14. Shuster is no better than the pseudo-journalist known as Chris Mathews.
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 10:42 AM by ShortnFiery
They all are not only "in love" with themselves but they shamelessly support each other. Or has selective memory not permitted you to remember good ole David Shuster begging people to respect Tweety a few days ago when he was *under the gun* from Media Matters?

Admittedly, with regard to some *investigative reporting* on the Republican Side of the Aisle, as well as, The Bush Administration antics, Schuster presents quality journalism.

However, not much unlike MANY journalists who "guest" on shows, when they become more popular (begin to be regulars - celebrity status), FAR TOO MANY OF THEM shill for *their personal FAVS* democrats (or republican), i.e., see Craig Crawford "I'm on meds for my foot (in mouth)" effect for blatant bias that will truly knock YOUR SOCKS off.

And don't even get me started on Joan Wolsh (Salon).

On Edit: Spelling Correction = It's Joan Walsh - IMO, she's shamelessly spinning pro-HRC. ;)

31. Very true
Shuster is a great journalist but not the best pundit. Shuster is extremely critical of Obama and it's obvious he doesn't support him. During the debate when they asked Obama if Bill was Black, Shuster was displeased with Obama's answer. No one reminded him that the question was just as stupid.

20. I really like Shuster as a reporter. He does a fantastic job. I do not want
him to try to become another opinionated talking head. Stick with what you do best, David. We really need true journalists these days, and not someone else spouting an opinion.

21. Yes, he is an excellent investigative journalist but I fear it's partly "The Celebrity Factor"
when they become discovered by "the suits upstairs" and propped up in front of the camera.

Yes, it's sad because David Gregory is another IMO, fallout from this "Celebrity Factor" which unfortunately puts a zap on their brains. Yes, it could happen to any of us but it's very disappointing when it's a journalist that you'd like to view as doing the BEST to be objective and unbias. Investigative reporters should not venture into commentary UNLESS they always wished to be TV Personalities instead of respected journalists.

God Knows we need fewer "Chris Mathews" type journalists pompously declaring their "moments of genius" on camera each and every damn day.

I always thought that Christopher Hitchens was the most self-important personality in political commentary, but then I viewed *Chris Mathews.*

33. This is not an issue, it's just a recent raised celebrity showing the zap on his head.
David Schuster, the investigative journalist is highly respected, but we just don't need anymore like "Tweety" and "Joe Scarborough" on MSNBC. Go back to investigative journalism David, OPINIONS are below you. :(
