If Edwards Comes In Second in SC the MSM is going to IGNORE it!
And a small part of me will die inside. :(

I raised my hand in my News Analysis Class today and pointed out to my professor the injustice that is going on regarding Edward's lack of news coverage. The professor agreed. He spent part of the class questioning if we have a TRUE democracy, because in order to have a TRUE democracy the public must have all the information it needs to govern itself. He argued that we don't really have that information.

:(

1. No, that would be a huge story.
It's not showing up in the polling yet. Anything other than Obama, Clinton, Edwards is a big story.

2. IT would be the main story coming out of SC
Obama is expected to win, not much of a story there. The real interest is in Edwards. His campaign was barely breathing with a DNR order in place before the SC debates. He's had more media attention in the last two days then he's had in the two weeks. He beats Hillary, he doesn't have to win SC, cause he'll win a news cycle. The Sunday morning shows will lead on it. And that means the Monday 24 hours news starts off talking about the Sunday pundit shows.

Of course, with John's luck, some 18 year old blond girl will disappear, along with his news cycle.

3. Clinton's loss would overshadow everything.
It would blow out of the water the Clinton argument that Obama is winning because he gets the black vote, because Edwards isn't depending on the black vote.

I'm beginning to see that Hillary's skipping out of SC could be a huge mistake. South Carolinians are feeling dissed.
