Schultz: "Bill Clinton is the new Karl Rove"
"Clinton is doing to Obama what Rove did to opponents."

Schultz also agreed the other day during a conversation that the "fight" between Hillary and Obama is fiercer than any fight ever between republican candidates. When John fathered-a-black-child-out-of-wedlock-and-has-a-crazy-wife-and-is-crazy-himself McCain was mentioned...Schultz didn't utter a peep about the mud slung in 2000.

Sure. Schultz is just like all other progressive radio hosts. Schultz IS on our side.

1. Ed has become a real asshole.
He has a deep hate for the Clintons. If Hillary gets the nomination expect him to latch on to a third party candidate.

28. i remember a time when it seemed he loved hillary
he only said positive things about her and no one could match her--i'm trying to remember when that was--obviously early on. i don't know what happened but then he started showing support for others as well.

i don't know about him hating the clintons--but i remember him practically fawning over her.

5. Are you talking about the Repub turned Democrat Ed? The one who is only on AA because his wife told
him he would get better ratings on our side of the dial?
The one who always has time to fully articulate the Rights side of the argument?
The one who always is leaning (reaching) out to his friends on the Republican side of the argument?
That Ed Schultz?

12. He's not employed by AAR .. but on a lot of their stations
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 02:05 PM by ronnykmarshall
He's got stick up his ass w/ them. One of reasons is when the AAR stations (L.A. for one) starting running Randi Rhodes live and moved him to a delayed broadcast, he had shit fit.

When continue to appeal for the Corporate good is when we have to call them on it.
The DLC and the "moderate" democrats are as much a threat as the radical Reich wing.

7. I don't always agree with Shultz
But he is a populist and is VERY VERY popular with Democratic Southern and Mid western voters. He has their pulse. If I were a Clinton supporter, I would be very worried about what that says about her chances in the general. As for Bigdog=Rove he nailed that. Watch for more Dems to come out and tell bigdog to STFU

8. Jeesh! One comment and Ed is made out to be Rush Limbaugh.
BTW, the battle between Hillary and Obama is fiercer than anything between the pubs, and McCain never did fight back with Rover made those attacks in SC in 00.

Also, Schultz gave all of the democratic candidates time on his show over the last year, though I am not sure Hillary was on.

14. The comment is loaded. Karl Rove is THE master of dirty tricks. Clinton and Rove are
total opposites and the smear is baseless and obviously malicious.

33. I'm not quite sure what the opposite of Rove would be
but it would not be Bill Clinton - Maybe a non-political, generous, compassionate, extremely honest woman. Rove and Carville might be closer. Bill Clinton can be dishonest and we knew that before we made him the nominee in 1992, but he has to sink much further to be Rove, though some of his latest actions are Rovian.

16. Hillary refuses to appear on his show. that's why he spends every day bashing her.
Ed HATES Hillary.

I think Ed saying Bill Clinton is like KKKRove is just sick. For me, I add THAT STATEMENT to the fact that in one day, during the NH primary, Ed had 6 repuke operatives on his show! 6 of them in one freakin' day! I can see MAYBE letting a repuke on the show once a month, but he does it every day and NEVER challenges them, but when you have 6 of them on in one day....something s very wrong.

Oh ya...his GOOD FRIEND is Neil Boortz! That's one of the jerks he had on his show that day and he also had dinner with Neil Boortz the night before! NEIL BOORTZ is one of the most hateful RW shills and Ed Schultz calls him his good friend? I don't trust Ed as far as I can throw him.

they can say any thing and he won't challenge or refute it.

Gotta' love him :sarcasm:.

22. Hmm
I think it's interesting a lot of the talk show people have sided against Bill and Hillary. Maybe it's left over hatefeast from the 90's when talk radio helped push the rethugs into congress and constantly pushed hate against them. Whatever it is they really have failed to gather the Liberal radio personalities support.

He's a radio guy. There's about four hundred of them to the right of Ed Schultz...I find Schultz to be pompous at times, but give me a break.

Go after Limbaugh and Hannity and the other 398 or so right-wingers instead.
