"I represent the grown-up wing of the Democratic Party."
John Edwards said today alluding to last nights debate:

"While Senator Clinton and Senator Obama were hurling charges and countercharges at each other, I was thinking, `I'm John Edwards and I represent the grown-up wing of the Democratic Party.'" http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080122/ap_on_el_pr/clinton_obama

And so you do, John... You represent me, that's for damn sure. :patriot:

7. Because the grown up wing is made up of those...
Who see past race and gender to look at the real person. Unfortunately, we appear to be a minority in this primary season.

9. He represents ME TOO even though I'm a Hillary supporter.
I hate this war between Democrats and wish they would just stick to the issues and "act like adults".
However, I guess that's too much to ask for and is just wishful thinking.

11. First time I've heard a politician use the phrase "grown-up"
and NOT mean it as a synonym for pro-war, anti-worker corporatism.

16. it's easy when you don't matter
So Obama is not "grown up" because Hillary throws him under the bus ?

Hey John, in the highly unlikely event you start to matter, who do you think gets the next turn under the attack machine ?

17. It is not about who is being thrown under the bus......
it is about how you react and respond when you are! There is a right way and a wrong way and both Hillary and Obama chose the wrong way! It was the worst "show" they could have put on and they acted like little children.

they seem to enjoy it!
