Everybody paying any attention can see one candidate is aggressive and on the offensive and the other one is still trying to explain and clarify where he stands.

Candidates who can beat Republicans never end up in Obama's position this late in the game. He's in the weeds and by the time he finds his way out primary season will be over.

"I want single payer but."

"I didn't say I liked Reagan I said he was successful and in the party of ideas."

"I only worked a few hours for Rezko."

"Voting present is what we do in Illinois"

3. Wait until the rest of the Rezko stuff comes out! He is
really deep in the weeds. Hard to explain the unexplainable. He is who he is and there is no way out of that. Isn't he an unnamed person of interest in Fitzgerald's (RICO?) case against Rezko?

5. You do know that Obama is accused of no wrongdoing in this case, don't you?
If guilt was determined by association, the Clintons would be on Death Row.

11. No I don't know that because...
Obama surfaces in Rekzo's federal corruption case
Source confirmed Obama is the unnamed "political candidate" referred to in document which outlines case against Rezko

January 20, 2008
BY DAVE MCKINNEY, NATASHA KORECKI, CHRIS FUSCO AND TIM NOVAK Staff Reporters
Chicago Sun Times

Obama is not named in the Dec. 21 court document. But a source familiar with the case confirmed that Obama is the unnamed “political candidate” referred to in a section of the document that accuses Rezko of orchestrating a scheme in which a firm hired to handle state teacher pension investments first had to pay $250,000 in “sham” finder’s fees. From that money, $10,000 was donated to Obama’s successful run for the Senate in the name of a Rezko business associate, according to the court filing and the source.

Rezko, who was part of Obama’s senatorial finance committee, also is accused of directing “at least one other individual” to donate money to Obama and then reimbursing that individual — in possible violation of federal election law.

20. what a deceiver you are.
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 10:10 PM by JackORoses
your 'snip' contained the following lines:

"The Illinois senator isn’t accused of any wrongdoing. And there’s no evidence Obama knew contributions to his 2004 U.S. Senate campaign came from schemes Rezko is accused of orchestrating."

How do you explain your willful distortion of this story?

Oh, right, you're a Hillarite. It's to be expected.

29. Why that would be a big story worthy of a "cover up" I'll never know
Does ANYONE here REALLY believe that he's faithful??

I'm not a Hillary supporter but it doesn't make me think any differently of her qualifications.
It makes me sad that political ambition was more important than emotional health. She should have
kicked his cheating ass to the curb but she didn't. End of story.

They clearly aren't paying you enough for all your hard work. :eyes:

Or maybe they realize you aren't doing a damn thing to help them, because you're more full of shit than a Christmas goose.

Is Obama still going to run on unity and good will and all that if he's in the middle of a fight in the mud with Hillary? Obama has a big decision which way to go here. Neither alternative is pleasant.

22. Against the GOP/media, she will constantly be on the defensive.
Unless she uses the old "ignore button" strategy which certainly doesnt work.

I dont see how she would get around it in the general- the GOP/media will gleefully repeat all real and imagined scandals of the past- she will either be defensive about this or she will ignore the charges- one or the other.

Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 06:50 PM by Dr Fate
16 years? Actually, no one has brought up any Clinton Scandals (fake or real) in 8 years- so you are incorrect to suggest she has been succussfully contending with that in recent years. But she will get her chance.

She can either spend time answering all the charges, or she can ignore them. The point is she can and will easily be put in a defensive position.

Winning? Last time I checked, DEMS have "won" nothing but 8 years of GOP dominance, dry powder, the opportunity to whine "we dont have the votes" ("we" as in DLCers, as you know)whenever anyone demands they fight the way you claim Hill has fought.

On what major issue of the past 8 years are you refering to when you claim she has won something?

Give me example of how she has been "fighting" and "winning" against the Bush agenda. Give me something big, something that warrants your characterization of her as a winning fighter.
