Jesse Jackson is right about Obama...
He should let a surrogate take on Bill Clinton ~ and stick to his message.

(Hardball, on now.)

I think that Obama should work on obtaining Carter's endorsement, then send him out to criticize the Clinton's.

Fair is fair, right?

5. Jimmy Carter has too much class for that...
But Obama's strong suit is his ability to inspire ~ he doesn't need to roll around in the ditch. I'm sure there's someone else who can do the street fighting on his behalf.

That was my point.

Clinton is showing how classless he is, something we shouldnt expect of former Presidents.

It was also low for Obama to trash Clinton's legacy in that interview...
That's what set Bill off.

24. We have a chance to get some of those "Reagan democrats" back
You know? The ones who voted for Carter, and then voted for Reagan?

I hope Carter stays out of it. Long gas lines, double digit interest rates on home loans....we need to look forward, not backwards!

and perhaps Kennedy. They warned him and I think they meant what they said.

18. & Bill Clinton will cross that line...
you can see the look in his eyes anytime it looks as though Obama may actually beat Hillary...

As a person of color, I've seen that look before. I believe he feels betrayed, with all he's done for non-whites. Wait a minute ... I'm thinking ... it'll come to me. Welfare "reform"??? no no no, that's not it. Verbally abusing a 2nd rate rapper (Sista Soulja)??? no no no, that's not it. And don't get me started on his "mend it, don't end it" rhetoric (note to Bill, some of us don't think it needs "mending").

Oh, and do try to stay awake through the entire program honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. They'll be plenty of time for a nappy on the plane back to wherever you're headed to slander a strong black man (Senator Obama).

Flame away, Clintonites. I've got my fire retardant drawers on today.

Just imagine Former President vs Former VP & Noble Prize winner going at it. NYT and other MSM would go nuts.

13. I vote for Durbin.
He's not a very forceful talker.

Obama needs someone with some fire and a seething anger at the way Bill is acting.

25. Gore is going to want to work with this next government
I doubt he gets involved at all in the primaries. He wants some legislation pushed through Congress on Global Warming and isn't going to risk potentially pissing off the next president.

26. Nah, he's been winning the battles lately with Bill, he should continue to defend himself.

It's odd that the last Democrat President is calling a Democratic candidate that is running today names and distorting his record.
I never thought I would live to see the day when that would happen.

But, then anything goes in Bill's world.

You watch, Monica might just pop up in a tv ad and tell Bill to shut his mouth.
Now that would be entertainment!

27. I've never understood the Clinton loyalists...
other than driving Republicans nuts, did he really do ANYTHING that might be called "progressive"?

The whole "triangulation" BS, using polls RATHER THAN YOUR CORE BELIEFS to govern ... that's why I consider Bill Clinton a failed President. He could have at least tried. But as we're seeing right now, the only Democrats he really cares about all have the same last name (Clinton).
