Clinton - Obama 'Looking for a Fight'
"I think what we saw last night was that he's very frustrated," she said. "I believe that the events of the last 10 or so days, the outcome of New Hampshire and Nevada, have apparently convinced him to adopt a different strategy.... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080122/ap_on_el_pr/clinton_obama

..."He clearly came - he telegraphed it, he talked about it - he clearly came last night looking for a fight. He was determined and launched right in," Hillary Clinton said. "And I thought it was important to set the record straight."

She restated her argument that Obama was unwilling to answer hard questions about his record, from his opposition to the Iraq war but support for military budgets to his "present" votes as a member of the Illinois legislature.
...

"I think this is a great field, and we're going to have a few arguments - it's a contact sport," Bill Clinton said at a restaurant in Columbia, S.C., with a few dozen supporters and breakfasters.

The former president said nothing his wife said during Monday night's debate or by him about Obama had been inaccurate. "I try to be very careful about what I say," he said.
Clinton headed to California Tuesday to accept the backing of the United Farm Workers Union. Founded by famed labor activist Cesar Chavez, the union represents a heavily Hispanic work force. Clinton won Nevada's presidential caucuses Saturday in part because of a strong showing among Hispanic voters - a central part of her strategy to win several states holding contests Feb. 5, including California, Arizona and New Mexico.

1. Clinton, looking for an argument.
All she could do last night was squirm.

If she wants to criticize Obama, she should look for a valid reason instead of making up fairy tales.

2. there she goes again, with the coded messages. Penn-manshit at work,
round 14.

"frustrated black man?" Lowdy, all the white women better watch out!

Ms. Clinton is treading on seriously dangerous ground with this kind of stuff. I wonder if she understands just how fractured our party can become with crap like this being spewed each day by Bill or by her.

3. Squirm? Obama was squirming after she mentioned REZKO..
He definitely didn't want to go there. I'm glad she got it out in the open. One wonders what other skeletons lie in Obama's closet!

5. No, he didn't.
He shot her whole slur down.

She might as well have accused him of being a muslim terrorist.

She really looked dumb mentioning Rezko.

7. the top two chicago papers spent hundreds of man hours on this
shit.

Both papers competed with each other, and dug deep. Even the conservative Chi-Trib decided that no crimes were committed, that Obama did nothing wrong, and in fact, thanked him for being an excellent candidate who would be a fine president. The Suntimes work up was even more detailed, and probably will lead to Mr. Rezko turning states evidence and causing the indictment of yet another Illinois governor. Again, the Suntimes found NOTHING WRONG. Furthermore, to make sure that not even the slightest taint would attach, Obama donated every penny even remotely connected with Rezko's crowd.

Can hillary say the same thing? No, clearly not. Her tainted money is being kept in house, paying for Bill to make more stuff up.

14. oh come on.
Recall her donor who just got arrested and now sits in jail? she returned none of his money.

What of her lobbyist friends? Big Pharma, big medicine, big med insurance? Why was Clinton so quiet about that poor west coast girl who was denied a kidney transplant, until it was too late, and why did Clinton claim that Edwards was politicizing that issue afterwards?

15. Hyperbole. This sort of characterization isn't helpful.
My candidate isn't among the front runners so don't accuse me of being a "Hillbot".

I've supported Democrats for the Presidency for 30 years. I believe knee-jerk post like yours are irresponsible. Please think carefully about what you're doing.

18. Hillary is making the characterization. She knows exactly what it is that she does.
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 02:42 PM by JackORoses
She doesn't discuss the issues.
She discusses Obama's 'frustration' and how he was 'looking for a fight'.

She wants the Voter to feel sympathy and 'protect' her with their vote.
It's like a politically correct version of 'To Kill a Mockingbird'.
It is Politics at its dirtiest.

"This is nothin' honey!"

I know the Clintons are capable of much bigger and better lies.
Bring 'em on.

They can't just say whatever they want anymore.
All their claims will now be checked in the media.
Not a good thing for Blabbin' Billy.
