Poll question: Is it over on tuesday?
I know what the Kucinich supporters are going to say, but Kucinich isn't going to win and isn't going to have more than like 20 delegates out of 4200.

4. Edwards is getting smoked everywhere.
He is not even close in any polls for any states. Georgia is outside the MOE. Everywhere else is a blowout. Edwards might win VT if there is a traffic jam with Dean.

5. No need to get angry
Kucinich will probably pass Sharpton on Tuesday, why not have him stay in??

For that matter then, why is Edwards even in? He has as much of a chance of catching Kerry as anyone else.

I'm far from being a Kerry fan, but he's got the nomination wrapped up after Tuesday. Not that the rest of us can't try for pyhrric victories fighting Kerry.

7. Angry?
I am not angry. I am being realistic. I didn't say anyone should drop out. I just asked who will win.

9. Yes, it'll be over
Kerry will win most everywhere Tuesday, and Edwards can't afford to stay in the race. Sharpton and Kucinich can, and will. If progressives are smart, they'll vote for Kucinich in every primary remaining after this Tuesday's, which will at least allow what remains of the left in this country to come into the convention with possibly some bargaining power, whatever that's worth; whether the Democrats win or lose this Fall, the left is going to be sold down the river.

24. glad you think it's funny
Maybe progressives should vote en masse for Kerry then, or that vapid twit, John Edwards. That'd be smart.I don't think it makes much difference either way, since the American people, especially those without money are going are going to be butt raped like never before. Why bother to support one of the few people who has stood up for regular Americans; let's make it clear to the party that it doesn't matter to us that the progressive left was right about Iraq, that it doesn't matter to the rest of us about jobs, healthcare, social programs etc. Screw it, must...spend ... more money ... on "defense." Must ... make ... rich ... richer... Cake... is... good.

Lets make it clear that the status quo is a-okay by us.

10. It was over when Dean said...

the media conglomerates had to go...

The Osama ads in Iowa helped also and unfortunately there is a rumour going around that Bush is going to use the same kind of ads against Kerry.

Kerry will prevail though as he always has...

I hope,

Count on it.

And that would be the case no matter who the Democratic candidate is.

22. I hope Kerry re-edits the Osama ad and uses it against *
Given the longstanding business dealings between the BFEE and ine bin Ladins.

Besides they probably still have the video footage they used in the original.

12. Its over super tuesday...
Those fighting for a chance to speak at the convention and those campaigning for the VP aside.. its done... those talking at the convention will not affect the platform either.. that is selected by the nominee.. all lip service aside..

Thats my prediction anyway.. Kerry .. not one single change in platform.

13. Of course it will be over
Anyone who says otherwise is in denial about the situation. After Tuesday, Kerry will have almost certainly won 28 of 30 contests. There's no way Edwards (with a paltry 1-29 record) could ever recover from such a crushing defeat.

16. Technically. probably not, Practically probably so
Unless there is some large shift in the polls over the next 36 hours or so, Kerry will prevail in most if not all Super Tuesday states. Edwards will probably close the gap enough to get a fair number of delegates, but not enough to be meaningful.

Practically speaking, Kerry will probably have so many delegates coming out of tuesday that even in the extremely unlikely event that he were to finish second in all the remaining states, he would still win the nomination.

I would call that conclusion 'over' from a practical standpoint.

18. For all intents and purposes, yes.
Kerry won't have the required 2161 delegates yet, but he's favored to win 9 out of the 10 Super Tuesday states, some by double digit leads and all with 50% or more of the votes. So yeah, it's just about sealed.

21. New York, California, and Ohio...then it's all over
unless Edwards can win another primary outside Georgia.

But if it isn't over by SuperTuesday it shall be over by SappyTuesday. Edwards can't win both Florida and Texas, and if he loses both primaries to Kerry...O8)
