Dean's "I'm against Gay marriages" radio interview...

http://www.mountainpridemedia.org/feb2000/news_centerstage.htm

that source isn't the actual source of the Dean Radio Interview. It quotes Dean (one sentence - which is quite likely out of context), but doesn't give a link to the rest of the interview. Another good indication that the quote is out of context.

Anyone have a better link?

1. and the quote doesn't even say "marriages"...

it says "marriage" which is another good indication that it is taken out of context,

2. "I'm against gay marriages"...

is a generalized (all encompasing) statement, while "I'm against gay marriage" is something you would say if you were going to make an exception like, "I'm against gay marriage if it was a purely religious issue, but it's not, nor should it be."

I want to see the full quote and interview,

d

4. regardless...

people here are using it to "obviously" misquote Dean by only showing a snippet of what he said rather than what he actually said in full context, Aren't you worried about that?

5. yes, i am.
thank you for replying so soon.
the thing is that i read your subject line as meaning a current statement, and that shook me up some. i couldn't tell from what you wrote how you feel.

i am extremely disturbed by almost everything said here about Dean.

but someone recently posted his excellent praise of the mass supreme court decision that showed his current views.

what thread are they trashing him about the radio quote? i'm always hesitant to actually look around for the pain of it all.

keep on!

peace!

6. I am against all misquoting...

Dean seems to be misquoted about as badly as Dennis - especially here in the DU.

If you want to see which threads they are using this quote, check out most of the Dean threads that reference Gay Marriage... especially those that say Kerry and Dean have the same stand about Gay Marriages,

7. thank you.
we are in sympathy, then. what you say is true from what i've seen.

i was just checking in, tonight. if it wasn't late i'd go find and post around Dean's complimenting the mass supreme court. it was up here just days ago, as i recall.

i'll be posting more about it in the near future though.

keep on!!

peace!
