WesClarkDemocrats.com is a grassroots community dedicated to winning back the U.S. Congress for the Democrats and promoting Wesley Clark within the Democratic Party. We can best achieve these goals by pooling the influence of the Clark community and focusing our political contributions on vital battleground United States House and Senate races in 2004.

How can our grassroots community do this? Let's talk about how to use the features of this site:

Click on Races To Watch to see the battleground 2004 House and Senate races we've targeted as the most important races in the 2004 election. This list includes races where a Democratic challenger is considered to have a viable chance of defeating a Republican opponent or a race where a Democratic incumbent is facing a stiff Republican challenge.

If you choose to make a donation to one of these candidates, please don't forget to come back and Log A Contribution! We will collect this information, aggregate it and send periodic emails to each recipient candidate letting them know that Wes Clark Democrats are here to help and showing the impact of our grassroots effort.

our local Clark group is affiliated with that site but we are working to get write in votes for a Dem who wants to run against the current Repug Congresscritter. He jumped into the race when he learned that no one was challenging the Repug in November.

We just want the Dems to be able to have a choice in November.

that the grassroots energies from both the Clark and Dean campaigns are being channelled towards the larger picture - taking back Congress (for the party - and for progressives.) A democratic president, be it Kerry or Edwards, will not be able to get much done without support in Congress. The frustration with Bush - can easily be channelled to frustration with the GOP - if a concerted, sustainable and intentional effort is made. We have lost control of the public discourse in the country - efforts like this let us work towards reversing this trend. May the Clark supporters grassroots efforts, and the Dean supporters grassroots efforts, and the Moveon.Org efforts grow over time (not just this election cycle). Powerful way to engage many people who have been voters - but not terribly active - and take that energy towards taking back our country. A huge :thumbsup:

The reason is because we aren't taking any position with respect to Democrats challenging in a primary. Once the actual Dem candidate is selected for the Senate seats that Breaux and Graham are vacating, those races will also get listed.
