DK awards... help, pleeez
I know that Dennis has received numerous awards, among them the Gandhi Peace award, and an award for his actions
as Mayor.

However, I have searched his site, and can't find even these listed. I would appreciate any help, as I'm adding this to the wonderful handout assembled by one of the DUers. (Sorry, I forgot to take note of who it was... would like to know
that, also.)

Since there have recently been so many attacks against Dennis, I would request that this is a question for Kucinich
supporters, and not an excuse to heap on more invective or tasteless jokes. I wouldn't do that to your candidate, so it's a very civil and reasonable request.

Thanks!

Kanary

1. That award from Cleveland for saving consumers $$MILLIONS.
(Just jealous, I guess, that I don't have one of those lower cost electric utilities, so that one sticks in my mind the most.)

Here's the link to the Gandhi award:
http://www.pepeace.org/tmpl/gandhi.html I just hadn't been able to find it.

I'm now looking at your other links.... I really think these should be put together in one place. I didn't find so much with searches.

Thanks again..

I'm busy trying to put together info for a newly converted Republican ... she's hungry for more about Dennis, and I'll see her again tonight, so I'm scrambling for all I can find. Your thoughts keep me inspired...

Another Republican convert, YAY! I remember now what I was thinking about. Did he not get some kind of award for working to save a hospital in Cleveland? Someone should have that, JohnKleeb wrote something about it several months ago. Sorry, until my computer is fixed my links are all gone.

And, thanks so much for the encouraging words, and your support of Dennis... what a guy, eh?

Be sure to give us a report on CT! It's so wonderful to hear from those right there, how it went, and what the atmosphere was.

to save the company from going bankrupt and save all the jobs.
It probably went to China by now.Our whole steel industry is now in China. Thanks, guys!! You 'electables' voted for it.

Well, Traficant saved a couple factories in Mahoning County

actually Dennis and Traficant are my two favorite politicians...Traficant beat the government in court, and it took them 16 years to get revenge

16. true
I guess I was just voicing my approval of Traficant, I have always admired him for the same reasons as I admire dennis...no bullshit guy from the steel valley who stuck up for his constituents no matter the political ramifications

17. Works and plays well with others, indeedy!
That's one of the big things that has really affected me by learning more about Dennis. Somehow he has so much strength that he really can work with others from the other side of the spectrum, without losing any of himself, or selling out. When I think of doing that, myself, it boggles me. THere've been sooo many sellouts on the DEM side of the aisle, that Dennis is a standout. He will be my shining good example for a long time to come!

What ticks me is that there is so much *need* for Dennis to work that hard! There shouldn't be a necessity for continually putting out fires. If we were watching our whole system closer, we wouldn't have so many dire emergencies, and so many close calls.

12. So far, nothing about Youngstown Steel
I'm searching, and came across a nifty audio report of when Dennis announced, but... so far, nothing on Youngstown Sttel.

Wish I was more adept at search!

Thanks for the headsup... I'll keep trying...
