questions about GOD in the debates
the idiot media whores asking the democratic candidates about whether they believe in god and whether bush is right about god being on america's side makes me sick. i'm glad john kerry mentioned the importance of separation of church and state sometime during that debate. i would have liked it better if they asked questions about that.

why don't they ask bush who makes the claim about god being on our side whether he thinks god was on our side on 9/11/01 ? or anything else to challenge what he says about god ? they just accept it as him being some great god loving christian when he is just an ignorant asshole.

1. I was floored with the entire debate, from the opening question
to the closing one. I am a strong Kerry supporter, and yes he answered both questions well, but I must admit that John Edwards had the BEST response to the final question... not "is God on our side" but "are we on God's side?"

2. yeah, i could tell kerry was uncomfortable
he has a lot of respect for other faiths, which includes the belief in more than 1 god, or no god at all. and many other religious and spiritual beliefs. so he isn't the type to make declarations about this country being under god as bush always does since this country includes people of many faiths. one of his plans to help with peace in the world is a major conferences of the world's religious leaders like the pope, dalai lama , and others.

3. I wish someone had said, "why are you here rather than in a pew
somewhere this morning?"

If the panelists planned to pander to the RW evangelicals, they should have figured that that audience would be in church and not in front of a TV then.

5. Kerry:"We pray God is on our side and we pray hard." - but Edwards was
better - IMHO

Quoted Lincoln to not pray that God be on our side as we do our work, but instead to pray we are doing Gods work.

6. The answer that no RW fundamentalist could argue with:
"I was brought up to believe that God loves all people, no matter where they live, and that for any human government that claims that God is on its side is committing the sin of Pride."
