Step right up and see a Major Media Ho in action during the debates!
If you're a Fan of the great Bob Somerby, you will know that the er...esteemd Katharine (Kit) Q. Seelye is certainly one of the biggest Media Ho's in the business... Today she does a real-time analysis of the debate between the Democratic canidates.. Read it and weep and remember the good old days of the errrr, Liberal Media!

1. Frankly, I think she watched the same debate I did
Edited on Sun Feb-29-04 12:25 PM by SaddenedDem
I see nothing incorrect in her comments. It was the same thing I saw.

on edit:
My candidate wasn't in the debate, so I suggest I might be more objective than the partisan supporters of candidates who were there.

2. I like all 4 candidates
and I thought she gave a fair assessement of 3 of the 4 candidates. I don't think she made one comment about Kucinich and so her coverage was not complete in my opinion.

3. Hubby has no dog in the race
Just getting into the candidates, watching his second debate, says..

"John Kerry is a Washington politician who will say anything to get elected."

"John Edwards lost my vote with his stand on NAFTA."

"Go Al," laughing at his comments and saying how right he is. (But won't vote for him)

Only comment about Kucinich was "he's got every issue right, too bad this country isn't ready to hear it."

4. Seely twisted the fact that Dennis Kucinich supported
Seely twisted the fact that Dennis Kucinich supported John Edwards on the question of whether Edwards' personal-wealth diminishes his populist message.

Kucinich said it doesn't and implied that eveyone should speak out about the divide between rich and poor including the rich.

Seely twisted that to say that Edwards was answering the question so badly that Kucinich had to jump in.
