Taylor Marsh's despicable dishonesty in smearing Obama
First she picked up an article from the RW NY Post.

OBAMA: '99 Problems But A Bitch Ain't One'

She later learned it wasn't true and updated the article, but using a Republican tactic to create the perception that it must be true if it isn't denied:

UPDATE: Ben Smith has reported on this item as well, saying he can find no one to say that it happened, then links to a public party for Obama. I was unable to find anyone to verify what supposedly happened at a private victory party either, beyond what Page Six is reporting. So I waited. ... and waited and didn't print this item for hours, after first receiving it at around 5:00 a.m. pacific today. Frankly, I was waiting for the Obama camp to demand a retraction of the item in Page Six. I appreciate Ben's post, because I'm in the same boat. But there has been no retraction all these hours later. If the story is false, no doubt the Obama camp will ask for a retraction. As of this moment they have not. So after waiting three hours for something to happen I posted on it. I do not just throw up anything, contrary to the hits being thrown at me. Waiting three hours, with it now being three hours after that, I have to ask: If it's untrue why hasn't the Obama campaign asked for a retraction? It's a simple request, which would have to be honored if Page Six got it wrong.

Still, she continued to push the story: Page Six Story on Obama's '99 Problems'

The story was easily debunked

More on Marsh's dishonesty.

1. I heard this story a week or so ago, not sure where.
My thought was, if that WAS the music chosen, someone needs a good talking to. HUFFPO picked it up as well...

Now, if this turns out to be totally invented, as it looks to be, or a "version" of the truth, (EXAMPLE: Obama enters a rally to "We are the World" and gives a lovely speech; he leaves, and twenty minutes later, as the crowd is exiting the venue, some wag, thinking himself clever or perhaps to deliberately incite, puts that song on) it points out that people shouldn't believe EVERYTHING they read--and not just about the candidates they LIKE, either.

Always consider the source.

3. It's really sad to see how TM's lost it.
I met her once and thought she seemed like a fun, decent woman. Ah well, so much for that.

4. Taylor Marsh purely full of it? I'm falling off the floor. There's someone with an 'it' to lose
:sarcasm: (just in case it was insufficiently obvious)

6. I'm a blogger in Iowa
and was contacted by Marsh to provide some coverage of the caucuses for her. The conversation was going well until I said I was going to be caucusing for Obama and she thanked me for my time and hung up.

7. Wow, that pretty much says it all, doesn't it?
Thanks for that vignette because I have to say that sums it up nicely.

Cheers.
