Edwards to woo Dean supporters

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (CNN) -- Sen. John Edwards will hold a conference call Saturday with organizers from the Howard Dean campaign in 12 states to discuss "ways we can work with their grassroots organization," campaign spokeswoman Jenni Engebretsen said Friday.

Among the 12 are the three largest states holding primaries Tuesday -- New York, California and Ohio -- as well as Texas and Florida, which hold primaries March 9.

1. Interesting.

I remember that Dean and Edwards treated each other with a good deal of cordiality in one of the debates. And both have unconventional approaches to campaigning - Dean is fiery, Edwards is sunny. And both are fairly centrist in a few ways.

This doesn't surprise me, although I really don't know that it will help Edwards that much.
