The move on "dying for the truth ad" also frustrates the hell out of me for the same reason.

Many, many people, who are playing on the computer, reading a magazine, getting a snack or whatever while the commercials are on will just hear bush repeating the same lies over again. Half of them will think it is a pro-bush ad!


on edit: if the lies are going to be read aloud, then the ad needs a voice over stating the truth. With the audio/text format, the ad will need to be shown many more times before people "get it" than it would have to be if it were audio/audio. Political junkies forget that "ordinary" people don't pay attention to political ads like they do!

It needs an announcer reading the refuting captions, otherwise, lots of people will mistake this for a PRO Bush ad, especially if they just listen to it, and if they haven't been following the real facts.

THOSE are the people this campaign needs to reach... it wouldn't be as artsy, but I don't think it's safe to count on "finesse" this time around.

That was my problem with many of the MoveOn.org ad entries...unless you READ all the text, they were ambiguous.
