went over to the madhouse to see what those fundy wacks thought about this scheme. They hate it. Almost uniformly.
To: TornadoAlley3 Just a random guess: The founding fathers had a better understanding of Christianity and religion than the Huckster will ever hope to have.

To: Huck No matter, he will be creamed in the general election for saying this.

To: TornadoAlley3 No surprise there: obviously he’s talking to his supporters in the anti-Abortion Party (aka “Values Voters” and “Social Conservatives”).

I have a hard time imagining he’ll be the one left standing after the primaries.

To: TornadoAlley3 I’m beginning to not like this man. He’s too much of a control freak.

To: Paladin2 Which brings up the question: What were the Huckster's SAT (or equivalent) scores?

To: angkor I'm not sure what murdering unborn children has to do with establishing religion in the US. If anyone is a pro-life conservative it's me, and I don't like either Huckabee's insinuations here or yours.

To: TornadoAlley3 Just watched it. wow.
Huck is ummm, not altogether "clear" in his understanding of our government structure.

To: TornadoAlley3 It’s very hard to get it into Huckster voters’ heads: they could vote for Mickey Mouse and he’d have a better chance of winning the general election. THERE IS NO WAY HUCKABEE COULD WIN. If the other guy DIED he would still beat Huckabee. A vote for Huckabee is a vote for a Democrat (in more ways than one). Why don’t they get it? If they are voting against abortion, well, Hillary and Barack want it legal and free for all. That’s what a vote for Huckabee will bring.
Better to vote for Fred. He’ll whip the Dem nominee.

To: TornadoAlley3 It’s a very brief quote, out of context, and a marriage amendment would conform to religions in addition to Christianity. I don’t want Huck but I need to hear more than one sentence before I condemn him on something.
Most conservatives do believe that the Constitution enshrines rights which man has been given by God, therefore there is a religious basis in that sense.

This appears to be it, for the moment anyway....(chuckle)
