Wouldn't it be great IF, at the debate tonight, both Obama and Clinton take a
minute at the beginning and say something like, "there has been an awful lot of distracting rhetoric from people about race and gender in this campaign.

Anyone who does not know that we both have been totally supportive of civil rights for women and minorities is deluding themselves at best or lying for political reasons at the worst. From this moment on, we will not address these issues when they are phrased as personal attacks.

From this moment on, anyone who works in our campaigns who violates this direct instruction will be fired.

From this moment on, if any media person asks us about this issue, the interview will end immediately.

Now, can we have the first legitimate question?"

And then attack the disaster of the last seven years with what they would do to save this nation.

Disclosure - I am supporting Kucinich and Edwards is my second choice, but since the entire world seems to think the choice is down to HRC or BO, these two need to take control of the discussion and direct it toward real issues.

2. that would be great to see
Like you, I'm supporting Kucinich--and I hope he blows everyone away tonight. But the actions you describe could only help Clinton and Obama, I think.

4. That would be wonderful.
It would unite the Dems rather than fracture us more.
